I was playing Orin Scrivello aka THE DENTIST in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and we had a devil of a time finding a vintage front-button surgical/dentists shirt! This classic design is no longer in style, so NO medical supply stores in the US carry them, just the usual v-neck scrubs that everybody uses now. About size. Asian sizes run small. I am borderline between a large and XL. The 2XL fit perfectly, so I would advise getting the next size up from what you need. The material is pretty much standard broadcloth. Nothing special but it works. I would use it for theatrical or film work, but not as a real gown for medical use. It is too thin and would not survive a lot of heavy washing.

I'm on my second jacket in 6 years after the first one started to fade and become slightly discolored after five years of being used daily. The zippers always work the pocket is great for combs, money, whatever you want to put in it. A great buy for any barber.

This is an excellent value. I have both a white and a black. The size is just a little tight. Consider getting the next size up from what you normally use.

I've worn this jacket for just over one month. I really enjoy the classic style and fit. Wearing this jacket, reminds me of the jacket my grandfathers barber wore. It's a great feeling to wear it. The only reason I gave 4, instead of 5 stars, is that it hangs on to hair. If there were a way to keep hair from sticking to it, you'd have the perfect barber jacket.

The fabric is horrible. Yes, it is lightweight but it won't keep hair off your clothes. The weave is so loose that you can see through it. The cloth is rough and attracts hair instead of repelling it.

I am a barber if you haven't read the headline. In the old days of barbering, barbers traditionally wear white smocks. I did not know why until I did some research. Apparently the white smock helps see your flaws on haircuts when you look through the mirror versus a black smock it just looks dark and you can't see any imperfections. Black smocks are probably great for people that do a lot of coloring so the color doesn't look too visible if caught on versus a white smock. After buying the smock on Amazon, I took it to an embroider to get my name done. Now it looks more professional.
