I have always struggled with keeping the pH levels consistent in my aquariums. I wanted to buy a pH meter but never took the plunge until now. This pH meter is perfect for me. It’s very easy to use and comes pre-calibrated from the company. However, it also includes solutions if the meter needs to be recalibrated. My fish now thank me! I also use it to test my tap water. This meter also measures temperature and PPM (parts per million), which is a measure of the amount of dissolved solids in water.The design is sleek and lightweight, making it easy to handle and store. The digital LCD display is clear and easy to read, even in low light. I appreciate the user-friendly interface, which makes it simple to switch between measuring pH, temperature, and PPM.In terms of accuracy, the readings have been spot-on, and the calibration process is straightforward. I like this but it need recalibrated if it sits over 3 days or so. it comes with the calibration powder. get 3 mason jars and some distilled water. and you can keep that solution forever. rinse probe with tap water in between solutions

Works great for using around the kitchen and garden. It is easy to clean and has been fairly accurate so far. I have used it for soil sampling in my garden and orchard as well as in the kitchen when doing jams and other things. Great little unit for the price. It did require calibration out of the box.

STAY AWAY!!! I bought this to improve my home brewing, and this is meter complete junk! I wish I seen the warnings before to stay away from cheep ph meters, but this one seems to have a lot of good reviews. Now I know not to trust the reviews.Trust me, I’m pretty good at following directions. Spent the past 2.5 hours trying to calibrate this thing to no avail. The instructions are useless. I tried to figure out how to navigate the settings on my own. There is no rime or reason to the settings. The website doesn’t exist, and their Facebook page has not been updated in 3 years. I would definitely NOT recommend this product.

My daughter was struggling with pH fluctuations in her aquarium and using inaccurate paper test strips (well known name brand) ended up resulting in serious damage to her betta's fins. We bought this digital tester so she could quickly and easily test the pH multiple times a day while he was recovering and while she was getting it stabilized. It has proven absolutely invaluable and I cannot recommend it enough for pH testing. To be fair, the temperature reading has never been accurate and I don't think the TDS is either, but that is not what we bought it for. The pH is spot on and we do cross check it against the API Master Test Kit once in a while to be sure. The pH in our tank is now stabilized but we still use the meter to monitor it twice a day, as it is so easy to use. It came pre-calibrated and we are still running on the original batteries after several months. If you are an aquarium keeper and monitoring pH is important for the species you keep, I highly recommend getting one of these.

So many reviewers talk about the need to recalibrate this Digital reader.I have had two of these and both worked perfectly out of the box and I’ve never had to recalibrate. So I’ve probably had them about a year or close to it.Actually I think it’s an excellent piece of equipment and when I need another one which I hope I don’t I get this one again.I make sure to treat like a precision instrument that’s means I keep it dry and clean and safely stored.

I like this item but there could be a better product for the money. Seems to work good
