I was surprised what a difference owning this tool made. It's impossible to lift a floppy proved baguette on to a baking tray without deflating and squishing it, and just as difficult to improvise with a wider or thicker chopping board.This is just the right thickness, length and width for easy handling of long loaves and perfect for baking in my home oven.It's a beautifully-finished bit of kit, no rough bits. I did get some dough stuck on it the first time I used it, but these came off OK with a plastic dough scraper and a damp cloth. I just floured the board a bit more the next time I used it.

The dimensions are perfect, its good quality beech and it is still thin and good in the hand.
