Extremely well made, very sturdy metal case. Fits together with extreme accuracy. Well designed connectivity and plenty of room for even the largest drive. Only downside is that UK users will need to provide a UK standard 12v DC 3 amp power supply.

Works fine but is quite expensive for what it is. These caddies are getting rare as hens teeth since optical drives go out of fashion.

The one time I didn't check reviews....
Vantec NexStar DX2 USB 3.0 External Enclosure:....resulted in me not realising that this would arrive with a US plug. Not a major issue but still, it would have been nice to avoid it. I may have a UK equivalent plug somewhere but I will leave that for my next clean up and organising day.The enclosure is built very well but I don't think I would have paid the current £90~ for it. I paid £60~ about 6 months ago.Setting it up was simple and I am now happy that I have this as it looks like it will last a long time.

Everything lines up and fits perfectly
Good quality product, very easy to put together, arrived earlier than expected and is now on my desk and working perfectly, actually both working perfectly.

For the price you should buy a USB DVD drive [combined holder and drive].
Ideal if you have a spare DVD drive [not the slim one]. Hoevere, very disappointed that it came with a US plug. Would expect that info in the description or a UK plug in box. It also very heavy and bulky.For the price you should buy a USB DVD drive [combined holder and drive].
