I have had no problems with this device as it has done, and still continues to do exactly what it was designed and manufactured to do. I am very happy with both the quality and the performance of the product.

It does not work properly with 2.1 / 5.1 audio signals. The sound will randomly cut out at any time, to get it back you have to press one of the buttons on the unit. When watching a TV programme in 5.1 on a commercial channel, every time there is a commercial break when the transmitted sound switches to 2.1 you either lose the sound or it becomes garbled, to get it back to normal you have to press one of the buttons on the unit. There is no indication of 2.1 / 5.1 mode on the unit, to me an led for this is more important than a power led, you can only tell the mode by listening to a known 5.1 source, switching modes and listening. The sound lacks bass and is far too loud at all times. Also the blue leds are obnoxiously bright. Having leads connected on both sides of the unit makes for a very untidy setup, yet you cannot hide it away because you need easy access to the buttons. I recommend you do not buy the HD Audio Rush from any seller, instead search for and buy the "Tendak 5.1CH Digital Audio Decoder Converter with Optical Toslink SPDIF/ Coaxial Support Volume Control AC3 DTS Dolby for Home Theater PS4 PS3 XBOX360" which is far superior in every way, apart from one very bright led.

Worked fine from this seller. Two from a different seller didn't work at all.
