Love that it is reflective on the outside & lightly colored on the inside. Really useful on a recent trip & got lots of comments from folks hiking around me in the blazing sun looking for a bit of shade. It felt several degrees cooler under the umbrella. It even flips inside out if a gust of wind catches it & easily returns to the proper shape without damage. Only negative is the weight but I don't think you can get the same wide sun protection in a feather weight product. Not great for backpacking but fine for a 3-5 mile hike or watching your child's sports event from the sidelines.

This umbrella is legit!Works so well as far as keeping me away from the heat. Sun damage wise I would still recommend using sunscreen or a protective layer but overall really really cool and useful. I have used this on bright and hot days and this umbrella is a game changer. Opening and closing mechanism feels very sturdy and does not look like it'll break soon in my opinion. Folds up nicely with a press of a button and the the cap of the umbrella is flat making it easy to close. Very very portable as this has a case and a wrist strap. I would take this wherever I go out during the day.

Used this on a trip to DC - lots of exposed, outdoor walking in the heat of summer. This little umbrella saved us sunscreen and beat the heat. I would 100% recommend it. It was sturdy and held up to the metro and days of sightseeing and use by my kids. The inside is super-cute (we got the flower one) and it also protected us from a downpour as well. I actually am considering buying another as we fought over it. It is heavier than your usual umbrella, but I liked that as it made it more durable and felt like it was actually protecting us. We bought another one that was a little cheaper and it broke after two days. This one survived the trip, the kids, and all we put it through.

When I initially received it, it felt like a sturdy and well-built umbrella.I use it about 10 minutes a day about four times a week when I go walking. Maybe used it once or twice for rain.After about six months, the frame showed rust at the joints. I barely used it for rain and made sure to dry it afterward. Also, tiny holes started appearing in the umbrella part. It still functioned great for blocking the sun.After about nine months, the top of the umbrella no longer opens. It is useless now.For a $25 umbrella, I expected it to last longer. It was good while it lasted, especially as a compact sun umbrella.Edit: update from 2 stars to 4 stars. Fixed the issue with it not opening up, by closing it all the way first until I heard a click, and then opening it again.

It works great. You can actually feel the difference of the heat when under the umbrella. Such a difference. It cools down so much. Glad I got it.

Love this umbrella!!! I am always outdoors in the heat for kids games and this umbrella is a lifesaver!!!

First off, I just opened this umbrella and found multiple dirty spots. I found grease stains all around the handle and dirt spots around the inside and outside of the umbrella. The review would have been almost 3 stars if it wasn’t dirty.Secondly, I had higher expectations. I’m buying a UV umbrella for my 16 year old little sister who just got diagnosed with lupus. I really wanted this umbrella to be great, but it is god awful to close and wrap up. It’s a hassle and I felt like I was fighting with it. It definitely took longer than it should to wrap it up.The material is also not what I expected it to be. I’m not sure what I was hoping for, but that was not it. It feels like the cheap knock off of fake leather that Chinese boutique stores try to sell.Granted, this is my first UV umbrella I have ever bought, so I’m not sure if that’s how all of them are- I just had higher expectations.I have not tried to use the umbrella yet. I literally just opened it- so maybe the functionality of it is fine, but I would not want to carry this around knowing the hassle of closing and wrapping it up is like.

I originally ordered this for my trip to orlando and carry around in disney world and universal (just in general when the sun is out). I was wanting an umbrella specifically meant to block out sun since in the past I've just used a normal rain umbrella (black) for the sun which wasn't so useful since I'd feel hot under the umbrella (im guessing because it was black) and since there were strong winds my umbrella would fold so I would just be hot and fighting my umbrella to fold back. However, this umbrella was a game changer. The umbrella blocked out the sun completely and provided a cool shade, it wasn't like my regular umbrella where I'd still feel hot under it. Also, during my trip some days were very windy, however my umbrella did not fold ONCE. The umbrella was easy to close and open and put it back in its pouch. I couldn't go a day without this umbrella and not to mention it came in handy when it would suddenly pour rain. Other reviews mention how its heavier than a normal umbrella but I got used to it really quick so it felt normal, plus I'd like to think that the weight helped when it was super windy. I would for sure suggest this umbrella if you'd like to get more coverage than just wearing a cap and be more protected since sun screen isn't 100%.

Compact umbrella that is the perfect shade on a sunny day. Love the silver colour. It folds down small enough to fit in your purse.

This is a great umbrella for each end of the weather - if you a baby or are super sensitive to light then this umbrella doesn't let even the slightest light through and similarly it is, obviously, water proof.The quality feels great, the mechanism which opens and (partially) closes the umbrella is strong and feels reliable and even the storage case is good as it is split and so it doesn't feel like you are trying to jam a sausage back into it's casing - goes in nice and easy for closing.I don't have a bad thing to say about this umbrella but would just note that whatever colour you choose the outside is silver, like on my photos. It's a good silver(think Wizard of Oz's Tin Man), it will reflect the sun's rays well though I suspect it will be many months before I need it for that!
