Lovely doll my niece was over the moon!

My granddaughter was over the moon with this doll for her 4th birthday. She loves everything sparkly and pretty and this fits the bill. A good size so wasn't too fiddly changing accessories. She hasn't taken in the bath yet so can't comment on that.

This would certainly be a 'wow' gift for any child as Kishiko the mermaid doll arrives in a large and very attractive cardboard and plastic box; be warned that she is very securely fastened into the box, which I find is often the case with toys these days (and so an adult is needed to supervise the removal of the item).As other reviewers have commented, Kishiko is a combination of a Barbie doll (similar size) and an LOL doll (being very heavily made up and very glamourous in look and accessories). The other unique selling points is that the mermaid tail can change colour to a nice ombre effect -- probably best to only do this is a shallow bowl of cold water rather than submerge her completely as you will likely ruin her beautifully coiffured hair and clothes. Her tail also has glitter that moves in a liquid -- it looks well-constructed and not likely to leak. There are also a good number of accessories including items to wear and hold; she also comes with a stand to display her when not being played with.She looks and feels a quality product and so I am happy to recommend from this viewpoint. However, she is currently retailing for £42.99, which seems a little pricey (although I know that Barbie dolls with accessories are not cheap either and she is comparable in quality), but I would prefer for it to be under £30.

These are cross between Barbie and LOL dolls. Our daughter is a big fan of Barbies. They're a highly glamorised doll with realistic eyes, very Insta-ready with no-holds-barred makeup with contouring, shadowing, glitter, glossy lips, perfectly blown out semi-braided hair and an array of glam clothing. This one comes with a chic little bide and a fashionable hoody, a midi length fur lined parka, smart phone, a retro radio-look handbag, a pair of fabulously dangling large earrings, a unicorn hot drinks mug and a selection of pretend makeup to touch her up.She has magnificently long fin-length multi-toned, but cleverly done rainbow hair, but no brush, so we have refrained from placing her in water to avoid her getting ruined. Her fin changes colour when placed in cold water which is easily done in a shallow dish in any case, so there's no need to get her submerged.Our daughter loves that her tail is filled with starry glitter and sequins in fluid which works just like a snow globe, but unlike a snow globe, her tail is made from resistant plastic and has shown no sign of failing even on our stone floors, where it is often dropped.Just one pointer, there are a LOT of plastic ties holding the doll and all her components in the box. It takes a good amount of determination to release her from her constraints!5 stars
