What a VOICE this wonderful artist has!!! I LOVE this CD. Wore it out for months upon receiving it. 'Blue Roses' (Grabs at my heartstrings and doesn't let go) and 'Running Man' (love to play my guitar along with it) are my favorite songs...I am grateful that I learned about him from watching the film "Still Crazy" - and that soundtrack Rocks as well. Can't buy one without the other, in my opinion!!!!! Very Happy!!!!

a great selection of the artists work .....really shows the scope of the artists talent....but some of the songs included in this CD should never have seen the light of day...overall OK as long as your skip button functions .....

Easy shopping experience, no issues

Very good music, easy to listen to. I first heard and saw Jimmy Nail in the movie, Still Crazy, which is a favorite of mine and my husband. Only regret - he should have included The Flame Still Burns from the movie. Worth the price.

Great cd look forward to seeing him in the Sting broadway musical The Last Ship this fall. The Big River song was the best

It's a sad thing that someone can be a HUGE star in another country and be completely unknown in the US. Case in point - Jimmy Nail. BIG, BIG star in Britain - hit records, award-winning television and movies, and more. This album is an overview and while all tracks aren't for everyone, it's worth the price simply for Big River with Mark Knopfler on guitar and showing Jimmy's great writing and passionate singing; as well as the hopping tongue-in-cheek Ain't No Doubt. This is a bit of a smorgasbord but is a good way to be introduced to and catch up with a GREAT artist. See him in Still Crazy and buy the sound track. Too bad this album didn't also include "The Flame Still Burns" from that fine movie. Still in all, JImmy Nail is an artist who really needs to be discovered by American audiences. I can't rate this album high enough - fun, great music, O, and Jimmy...the clarinet on Crocodile Shoes is perfect! Get it now!

If you're not known in America - who are you? Well, as many have proven, there is a world of talent and 'stardom' outside American markets. The sad thing is that there's some wonderful music that rarely or never gets heard outside of American markets. American radio is terribly limited and over-categorized. Not so in Europe and Britain (as well as other parts of the world)! Jimmy Nail is a BIG name in Britain and the hits here show why quite well. Not only a hitmaking singer/songwriter, but a wonderfully entertaining actor of film (Still Crazy, Evita) and television (Crocodile Shoes, Auf Weidersehn Pet). You'll ask yourself on first listen - 'why haven't I heard of this guy before?' There's plenty of great stuff here - very varied - but the album is important for including Jimmy's 80 hit "No Good For Me" and his "Big River" with Mark Knofler. A great piece of work.

Forget the look in Auf Weidesen Pet as is so different to this great voice. Some blues, soul and rock type music and just a great voice. Excellent, really love it.

Bought after hearing one of the tracks on the radio after such a long time. Plus it has "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" and I've always loved his different take on this well known song. This collection is a real gem, a variety of good songs in a variety of styles. Previously I thought of him as an actor who can sing a bit, but after this CD realised it's really the other way round (a proper singer, who did some acting). His distinctive voice is well able to deliver a wide range of material and transmit the appropriate emotional theme of each song's subject matter.

Lost this CD years ago so recently got it again. I had forgotten how good Jimmy Nail's voice was. Adding some more of his CDs to my Christmas list. Great tunes and a great voice!

I am a big fan of Jimmy Nail the actor and Jimmy Nail the person. As a singer I'm less entusiastic, but when he created his own music something very special could happen. "Ain't no doubt " and the much less well known "Show Me Heaven" are as good as any music that I have ever heard.For under a fiver, this collection is a steal.
