This was bought as a gift for someone who travels frequently and loves tea. It has worked well and the giftee has been very pleased with it. It heats fast, is easy to use, and is easy to clean. The user must be careful when opening it as the water is very hot and the steam that escapes is as well. The compact nature of the product makes it easy to pack into luggage to make sure that the user can have access to boiling water for coffee or tea anywhere where there is an outlet. I recommend this product to travelers, commuters, or anybody that needs hot water and doesn't have access to a microwave or kettle.

Heats water very fast

I like the size and the design of this travel kettle and it works fine. The only thing I don't like is the temperature display. There are no buttons that light up and no easy to see display. The temperatures are displayed in a white color beneath and inside the white plastic kettle exterior (hard to describe what it looks like). The way the temps are displayed makes them fuzzy and unclear when you are trying to choose the water temperature. Once the kettle has reached the temperature you have chosen, you will hear 3 beeps but not see what temperature you have selected. I know this is probably a little thing to dislike about this kettle but aesthetics are important. I would like it so much better if a signal light was displayed next to the selected temperature or the temps were displayed in a different color than the same color as the white kettle.

It is the right size and hold more oz of water than other products which I was looking for. Make sure not to exceed the max line. Or leave a little space below that line as the instruction indicated. Otherwise, it will boil out and splatter. Overall, I am glad I bought this mini kettle.

I've been using the Samshow travel kettle for about a week now. It's been great at boiling water for a quick cup of coffee. Along with the GSI camping filter I bought, I can make coffee anywhere I can find 110VAC with 300 watts (as per the sticker on the bottom).The flip-up lid makes for decent travel mug as well. But pouring is best done with the lid removed. According to the directions, it will heat up to the temperature selected and hold it. The exception being 212F which drops to a lower temperature. Otherwise, the water would boil away.

This is a wonderful, reliable little device that I’ve used constantly since I bought it.

It has a setting for Milk. If I use it, all i get is a lukewarm milk hardly at room temperature.If I incerease the temperature using Tea/Water level, it will warm it further sure, but then the milk at the bottom is burnt.I even tried to stir the milk to avoid it from sticking to the bottom but no luck.Now that the bottom has burnt milk, believe me it was so tough to clean it. Only a vey small hand may reach the bottom. a brush wont do any good, it needs good amount of force to clean the base.It was a tough day using this gadget for just milkly warm milk.Returning it.

Heat water nicely, keep its temperature, light weight, but the power cord is heavy duty.The sharp loud beep when unit is on/off, and set, very annoying, especially to other people in their rooms.I used it in my study.

This is amazing mini kettle when you travel or in home. Find the hot water in North America is not that easy. Using hotel's kettle is also not safe since you never know what boiled inside last time. With this mini kettle, we can drink hot water or tea anytime. also 350ml is perfect for one serve and won't waste any. Love it and used it every day.

I’ve always been skeptical of hotel kettles (cuz who knows what other guests have put inside and we all know they never clean the kettles). First time travelling with my toddler and knew I absolutely needed clean water so I bought this. Used this to make drinkable water as well as boiling water to heat up milk for baby. Boils pretty quickly and no issues. The spout gets hot so make sure you follow the instructions.

Weird try to make a review earlier months but says i am not entitled something to that sort. Now seems I can write review.Anyway sharing coz it is a total disAppointment. First was fine. Seldom used it and always make sure it is totally dry. On it’s 3rd week I just heard a tick. Light went off and viola it stopped working. No choice need to throw it.

I bought two different brands of portable kettles to try based on the mixed reviews. I was enjoying the other option more until the housing cracked. This samshow one has not experienced the same outcome. So it's the one I kept.It's compact, portable and convenient. I take it to and from work daily. I use it 3-4 times every day. It heats to the stated temp correctly each time. It's quiet, fast and safe. The lid has vents incorporated in it and they work. The flip lid with spout is a great way to direct your water over loose tea or coffee if you need it to. I only use this for water for tea so the prong inside at the bottom poses no issue for cleaning.I live in a place with hard water, and all our pots and kettles have the spots at the bottom. Even our very expensive steel pots. I don't think this reflects poor quality in this product.The cord is short, but it is long enough for the job while remaining compact and convenient. I travel with this to hotels and camping.There is no danger with this kettle as the vents in the lid are effective. The instructions tell you to wait 1-2min before opening the lid for safety and you should follow that advice. After 1-2min when I open it, water is still gently bubbling (but not spitting at you to burn you).My only concern is how to keep the lid safe- there appears to be a filtering material to allow for venting without spilling. I worry about any risk of lingering moisture in there and if there's any risk of growth. I use it ALL the time so I feel like the steam running through is hot enough to kill anything. But if not using this frequently I wonder. Maybe one day when I have to replace this, I'll take it apart to explore further. This is the reason for 4 stars vs 5.It is the perfect amount for the size of cups I use for tea. I'm told it's wrong to reboil water when making tea, so I'd say even the royal family would approve.I'd buy it again no question right now.
