For the moon clips that don't have the slit in them, you have to turn the tool with a quick flick of the wrist to pop them out, rather than turning with a steady pressure, or the rounds won't come out. Took me a while and some sweat to figure that out. Should have come with some instructions with that suggestion. Also, the shank turns a bit in the handle; I have to grip the shank rather than the handle.

Works much better than the tool that came with some of the moon clips I use. Once you get the hang of using this you can very quickly remove your spent shells without bending the clip.

I have wanted one of these TK Custom Moon Clip Tools - but have always choked on the price. I have cheaper Moon Clip tools that work fine. Finely decided to buck up an get "the best". Well I am quite disappointed in the quality of this tool. Mine came with 1) A chipped handle. 2) Rust along one side of the tube - like it had been sitting on a damp, hard surface before it was cut and assembled 3) The cut on the tube mouth is rough and has burrs inside the tube that will scratch up the brass when using it. Don't think I will ever buy another one of these.
