Works well and feels "OEM"
Worked great on my 2017 RX350. The unit was relatively easy to install if you are confident in removing car panel pieces. Manual was missing a few bits of installation information but the seller (ninetom) was quick to respond to help with the installation. After a long trip with it and a few weeks of use, here are some things that I have learned about the unit.- Installation for my car with the remote touch joystick, OEM nav, and 12.3in screen required use of an extra cable that was in the box but not in the manual. The cable had to be plugged into the joystick in order to prevent the joystick from "clicking" on both the OEM screen and the CarPlay screen at once. Do not plug in the cable that draws extra power from the screen.- Movement on the CarPlay screen is limited to "left/right" and "page up/page down". This isn't the same navigation that you'd expect as on the OEM screen, so it takes a bit to get use to but it works relatively well once you understand it. I think it might be marginally better than the original system since you don't have to be as precise with the movements, but typing on it is a chore.- In order to get the steering wheel controls to work, you need to enable "no swap" on the steering wheel controls option in the menus.- I'm no audiophile but the audio sounds relatively okay on my Mark Levinson system out of the box and the display looks relatively crisp for a wireless connection. A little compression can be seen if you are looking closely but it is not an issue while driving. Overall it looks really nice on the large display.- Wireless CarPlay connects pretty quickly and reliably for my iPhone 12 mini on iOS 16.1.1.

Utter Junk
DO NOT BUY!! This is designed to fit too many Lexus’ so it’s integration seems only halfway. It rendered my mouse useless to where I had to essentially tab through menu options. It was a trial and error nightmare to install on top of having to take my whole center console apart. It constantly changed my hvac settings and needed resetting to work most of the time. The placement on the screen only partially covered up the Lexus OS leaving a stripe with the latter visible which would freak out sometimes and flash. It trashed my sound system to where max volume was a 3rd of what it should have been and was very low quality. I couldn’t hear anything when driving. I can’t express more that this is trash!!!

2016 RX 350
Everything was plug and play on my 2016 RX 350 (high configuration with lever/joystick). Took me about 3 hours to install and being the first time. Now I can do it all in about one hour lol! I had to set the dip switches located on the retrofit box to 1,2,3 ON. Then in CarPlay home/settings, Set Wi-Fi antenna to “6” (USA). Set wheel key Swap to “No Swap”. Set to “Lever”. Oh also the radio needs to be set to “Aux” in order for sound to work in CarPlay. To activate Siri, just hold down the joystick for about 2 seconds. All factory cameras, sensors and settings are retained and work normally. To go back to the OEM screen, just hold down the Lexus Menu button for about 3 seconds and same to go back to CarPlay. Cheers!

It's a great idea, if only it would actually work . . . UPDATED
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: The Road Top service dept was helpful and responsive. They issued a refund well after the refund window was closed. They updated the listing to clarify that the device is not intended for Lexus RX with navigation.Original:I installed this unit on our 2015 Lexus RX. Youtube videos from similar products helped greatly with the installation. With everything connected per instructions, the screen was mostly black with flashing horizontal white lines when the unit was active. When the DIP switches were set for a different vehicle, the unit actually displayed on the screen, but it was very glitchy, impossible to read, and definitely not something that could be set up or used. After checking and triple checking all connections and variations, I believe I received a defective unit. It was so close to a great solution, but this unit was a disappointment and waste of time. Road Top has many youtube videos to help with the installation - they are pretty useless. After waiting for a response from Road Top Customer Service for over 12 hours, I took the unit out and put the dashboard back together. I hope to hear from Road Top Customer Service at some point in the near future (I contacted them through their website and their customer support whatsapp number and provided proof of purchase, install photos, and videos showing the screen). I'm an experienced DIY installer and have worked with much more complicated systems in the past without the level of frustration experienced with this.
