I found with these fairly quickly that they really do charge very fast I take a charge excellently and I'm even able to charge them using the sun lights on my indoor gardens. I'm finally able to have a couple of charged up lights on either end of the house which is great since I live in a small town and this year the power has been going out more often than ever before, always seems like I'm as far from the flashlights as I can get and it's the middle of the night.. that and I like to work late in my Gardens sometimes it's been dark for a good hour or two before I come in and having these I just hang them on the fence or hang them on the little hooks I have up for the garden netting and they light up the entire area so I'm able to get what I'm doing done I don't end up leaving like a gap in my fencing or my netting for the squirrels to get in. I have taken 2 charging these up and then hanging them intermittently throughout the house so that if the power goes out by surprise I always have a light within a few steps and all I have to do is take them outside with me when I'm working in my garden and the few hours I'm out there they're fully charged up and if it's cloudy for several days then I just throw them under my indoor gardens and get them charged up that way they've actually come in handy already once or twice for quick power outages and almost every night in the first week and every other night since then for working out in the garden. Definitely glad I bought them though you do have to be careful not to drop them I had one fall down the stairs and the bottom part of the bulb came off and I couldn't seem to reattach it but the light itself still works

The product:This product is great! It is beautifully bright, lightweight, sturdy, and it recharges itself! They're quite versatile, in regards to what you can use them for. If there's ever an outage, I can just whip these bad boys out. They're not glass, so I don't have to worry about my clumsy self accidentally breaking them.The Seller:The seller is amazing. I had a bit of a snafu with my first package, so I contacted the seller. They replied within hours and immediately sent me over a new batch. They were extremely kind and definitely on top of things!

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered the 3 pack of these bulbs. One did not work upon arrival. I charged all 3 bulbs in my sunny south facing window for a full day as directed in the instructions but it still didn't work. Amazon replaced the 3 pack with no problem. I took out one good bulb from the new package and sent back the defective unit with the others. I used the bulbs one night to light my bedroom. The light from these is like any other LED flashlight. They have a definate blue/white color and are quite bright. The charge was short lived and definately deminished over the course of the 2 hours I left them on. I haven't tried charging them in a light socket yet. That is supposed to give you a longer usage time of up to 5 hours. That would be quite convenient for an outdoor application. Just for kicks and giggles with the kids, I did dip the ends of the bulbs in water to show them how they light up without a switch. I don't know the science behind that but the kids thought it was awesome. They went off as soon as they were dried but I did figure out that they lit up just as well while being held with a damp dishcloth as when in actual water so that was fun. It reminded me of the guy on the old Addams Family TV show that would put a bulb in his mouth and make it light up. Haha... I also don't know a practical application for that unless I wanted to suspend one in soft foam in a centerpiece bowl on the patio table for the fun factor one night during a summer dinner.I plan to use theses bulbs in emergency situations as well as inside some large hanging lanterns for our garden parties this Spring. They come with a switch base which can be turned on and off as well as a plain base which, when screwed on completely, is automatically in the 'on' position. I used the plain base, without screwing it down fully, to stand the bulbs in the window sill to charge them. The bulbs are made of a thick plastic type material just like the LED bulbs I use in my electrical light sockets and appear to be very sturdy and well made. The hook on the end of the bulb (on the switched end as well as the plain one) makes hanging them quite convenient. I hope the internal battery last well. If so, these will be great for several years of occasional outdoor and emergency indoor use.I have only given these a 4 star rating so far just because one was DOA and that gives me cause to pause, so to speak. If they last well over the next several months, and at my summer parties, I'll upgrade my review.

We were so happy with our first purchase of this three pack of solar/LED bulbs that we purchased another set for a gift to a family member. Charge quickly, even on cloudy days. Come with two hooks for each bulb for easy hanging. One is always on (unless you unscrew the bulb slightly) the other is equipped with a button to turn it on and off.For camping, emergency kits, lighting in outdoor spaces or for disaster hit areas, these bulbs are well made.One item of note: the listing and the packaging state that the bulbs can be charged from any normal lamp or lighting fixture and will work in the event of a power outage. While we have successfully charged from a lamp, the bulb did not remain on during a recent power loss (and yes, the lamp was turned on at the time).

Initial reaction, these are a cool concept.Put them out in the sun to charge, they gave off decent lighting. Finally got a chance to take these out camping. Put in the caps with the on off switch. They didnt work. Sat there for about 15 minutes screwing and unscrewing them to see if they might not be making contact correctly, nothing. So frustrating, luckily we had other sources of lighting. Very unhappy with these lights. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

They worked great the first three times i turned them on. I had placed them under my carport cover. After the first storm they quit working right. It was harder to get them to charge and threw one away when it got water in bulb housing. Since then other two dont work.
