Mineral Oil Laxative/Wound Care for Horses - Gallon (128 Ounces)

I wouldn't use this stuff from this particular vendor for its intended purpose (Animal Laxative) since it arrives in a plain jug with a generic label that says "Mineral Oil". You do NOT receive the bottle/brand that is pictured.As another reviewer stated, it seems thinner that regular Mineral Oil.I use this stuff in Woodworking and for conditioning our Ceramic Sink, so I'm hoping it will be OK. The biggest problem is that we don't know if it is food grade since there is no label - use at your own risk on Salad Bowels and Cutting Boards I guess.Kenny

I knew I was screwed as soon as I opened the package. I could smell the fragrance in the stuff. It is obviously not pure. Despite the product description "Mineral Oil can be used orally as a laxative or topically to help prevent chaffing caused by hopples or other equipment", leading one to believe it is food grade, it is not. Anything other that pure mineral oil should not be consumed. I bought it for my wood cutting board, and now I am stuck with a gallon of useless mineral oil. Another point, this stuff is very thin, not like the small bottles of mineral oil you can buy at any pharmacy.

Real mineral oil will float on water. This stuff sinks to the bottom of a glass of water. It does not appear to be real mineral oil. Yes, it is also very thin, or watery. The supplier wants me to pay return postage to send it back. What a rip. Peter
