Purchased a second fountain!
We bought a fountain to use near an unused sink. The cats loved it so much we bought another one to put by their food bowls. Fortunately the youngest cat, who loves cords, has not touched the cords at all. Both cats drink more often from the fountains and we are relieved to know they should be well hydrated. We also put one bowl of water near their food since the kitten likes to use a bowl as well. We make sure to disassemble it completely once a week and hand wash the small parts plus run the larger parts through the dishwasher. We submitted email questions to Wonder Creature's service support and have been very pleased with quick responses and clearly stated information. They advised to be sure nothing is stuck in the pump and the impeller is free to spin during weekly cleaning. We use a toothbrush and warm water on the pump and pump parts. "Cleaning the pump is essential to extend the longevity of the fountain." They recommend replacing the carbon filter every 2 to 4 weeks depending on the number of cats using the fountain and the condition of the water. Sponge filter is reusable. Clean it and make sure nothing is stuck in it. We rinse the carbon filter and sponge filer in warm water and set them aside in a bowl til the other parts have been through the dishwasher. They recommend changing the sponge filter every 2 to 3 months.

WOW
First of all, I never leave reviews HOWEVER...I have always wanted a fountain water dish but I never purchased one. My precious but crazy cat plays in every single water dish she has had. I have to put them on a huge tray. By the end of the day, she's just drinking out of the tray but STILL begging for fresh water. I have literally tried everything. I purchased this because it was a good price. I thought "why not?". Well... she loves it... and (for some odd reason) she doesn't play in it, so I LOVE IT TOO!The fountain dumps onto a shallow tray. She drinks from the stream and what goes on the tray, drains into the filter and gets recirculated.I have not had to clean it yet, but based on simplicity of design and super easy assembly, I assume cleaning won't be a problem.

It's nice but kitty hates it
Our kitty loves the bathroom sink and shower. As soon as you turn on the water to wash your hands, brush your teeth, take a shower, she'll run in and drink and play in the water. When I saw this with the constant flow of water, I thought she'd love it. I set it up, turned it on, placed it beside her water bowl and food. She didn't like it. I played in the water, I tapped my fingers in it to show her that it was water, I did everything I could think of. Nope. She's not having anything to do with it. I wonder if it's because of the bright blue light that is inside? As for the product itself, it's super quiet, pretty to look at, and does what it's supposed to do.Assembly was a little confusing, but after several attempts we finally figured it out. BUUUUT this goofy kitty hates it.

Amazingly quiet
Not only is the pump quiet so is the water cycling back into the reservoir. Only noise I hear is when my cat drinks from this. Yes my cat is a power drinker. This water fountain is very easy to assemble and clean. No tricky or hard to fit parts. With the power cord being USB type A. You have many options to supply power. Any USB power adapter, if near a computer, even a power bank in the event of a power loss.Water drains to the lower lever very well with several drains around the entire outer rim. The next tray houses the filter. If the filter gets clogged the filter tray has overflow drains to prevent water overflowing to your floor. It simply bypasses the filter. If your not sure if your filter is near time to replace there is something to look for. When the filter starts to clog you can you will notice through the lit base larger drips in the corner with ripples on the surface. This is a sign you're filter is not proccing all the water as some has to bypass to prevent flooding.Power loss is this only minor issue I have. I do have a power bank to supply power but not everyone does. In the event of a power loss and Im not home the top tray is very shallow. Water will not last long with 1 cat.

Approved by me and my cat
A few months ago I got a hand-me-down metal fountain from a friend and my cat loved it. She definitely drinks more water now than she did with a bowl. I thought the old one was broken but the pump was just clogged, so I ordered this one. I like that this new one is more compact (the old one had a large base), has a filtration system, and most of the water is enclosed (she used to dip her paws in the other one which dirtied the water pretty quickly). Plus itโs just a cuter aesthetic. I canโt say she likes it more than her old fountain, but I definitely do!

Cats think it's great
This is the 2nd kind I've tried. Both are basically the same, just different shapes..My cats love it! I change the water ever 2-3 days, whether it needs it or not. I clean the tank, top tray and flower with very diluted white vinegar & rinse with hot water to be sure there is no smell left. Then I rinse filter & pump in hot water fill it up, put filter holder (empty), tray & flower together & place on top of tank & plug it in, and I'm done. Water magically pours out of the flower without priming. I only use the filter in front of pump as precaution. I have filters on main water line coming into the house otherwise I would use all filters .

Attractive and cats like it
This is the first fountain I have purchased for my cats. I figured it might keep them from licking the sink faucets. It was easy to set up, almost silent, and quite attractive. My cats took about a week of slapping, splashing, and harassing it before they would drink from it. They now happily drink from it throughout the day. They still lick the faucets, though. The only thing I would change about this fountain is the thing you plug into the outlet. A flat one would work better than the one that sticks out.
