Vermont Teddy BearOctopus Plush - Octopus Stuffed Animal, Oh So Soft, Green

The media could not be loaded.  I have the Vermont Teddy Bear Oh So Soft Fox, he's soft but not the softest plush. To compare, the Douglas Francine Fox ($13.95) has softer denser fur than this Oh So Soft Vermont Teddy Bear Fox. The VTB Fox does have softer denser fur than the Aurora Grand Flopsie Fiona Fox ($21.95). At the moment I would say the Douglas company has a higher quality and is the softest fur plush of the stuffed animal brands I have tried recently, though unfortunately most of their plush seems to be on the small side and not great for adults. I also prefer the longer fur on this VTB Fox or the Douglas Fox rather than the shorter material that Jellycat or Squishmallow plush have which is soft but doesn't have that fur length you can really sink your fingers into for that texture.Photos attached to this review include the Douglas Francine Fox, the Vermont Teddy Bear Oh So Soft Fox, and the Jellycat Bashful Fox Cub ($25) for size reference and a video to show the fur quality of the VTB Fox.This VTB fox is well stuffed so it is huggably dense without feeling understuffed saggy or overstuffed too firm, it has some weight beads in the rump which is also nice and adds a good weight and feel. It is a decently large plush and fits well in the arm, though I bought this for myself as an adult so in an ideal world it would be a little bit bigger for holding at night (this size is probably a perfect size for a child/teen).Upon receiving this plush I spent probably an hour with a needle and comb to pick out the fur that had been sewn into the seams which is a little dissapointing since this is on the more expensive side of the plush spectrum for its size and I was hoping for a quality on par or better than the Douglas Francine Fox. There was a spot on the face where not all of the fabric had been sewn and the seam was misaligned but I know how to sew and it was a fairly quick fix. The muzzle on the face is sewn on a bit crooked with it rotated to the right it would be cuter if it was more symmetrical/straight.All in all a nice plush, good weight, good size, good design/proportions, cute, decent softness, good quality though not the highest quality of fur fabric (could be a lot worse though!), and perhaps a little lacking on the details such as the sewing that would have been nice at this price point.__________I hope others find this review helpful, and I am continuing the hunt for a large adult sized high quality plush that has long dense super soft fur.

High quality that surpasses any I’ve seen regardless of cost. This was for my first grandchild and it is made to last and maybe someday he will give it to my first great grandchild lol.

This Vermont Teddy Bear Co. Fox was perfect for my 18 month old granddaughter. It was so soft and huggable, very plush. Also size was just right for just about any age. Super well made and is highly recommended.

I got this bear for a child who lives in the UK. I wanted to give a gift that was uniquely American and that couldn't be bought in the UK. She LOVES this teddy bear. It's so soft! I love that there's a "hospital" in Vermont, USA to send it to if it ever needs repaired. This was the perfect gift.

I was surprised by how large this dragon was and how soft it's fur is. I bought it as a gift for this guy I've been dating, but I think I'm going to keep it for myself I love it so much. The ONLY complaint I have, and it's a small one, is that the glittery wings are a little rough and that makes it not the best for sleeping with. If you're buying this for a small child to snuggle at night, maybe not.The quality and attention to detail is amazing. The feet are weighted so she can stand up. The fur is super soft. The color is gorgeous, better than the picture online. I love this dragon and I'm so impressed with Vermont Teddy Bear company, I think I'll be checking them first the next time I want to buy a stuffed animal.

I'm a 68 yr old widow. 4 Vermont teddy bears were my last Christmas present from my guy. I put one cuddly teddy next to my back when I lay on my side to keep me warm and one in my arms to keep my shoulder from over extending. My dog hugs the others. He truly believes they are his and He cuddles them night and day as I do. I love my bears. Their eyes look at me and are adorable. They are irresistibly cuddly. I will have them forever. Imagine how much a teen or child would love them if a senior does! Everyone should have at least one legendary Vermont bear! I absolutely love them.

My bear has thick, soft fur and is a brown colour with a pinky hue to it. I think he’s really cute and cheeky-looking because his face was sewed on crooked. But some people might not want a bear that hasn’t been constructed carefully to create symmetrical features. But, if you’re an adult or child in need of a good sized bear to hold at night, this one is ideal.

It looks exactly like the picture and is super soft. The material is of good quality. I love it!
