Best priced with name brand quality.
Wore out my first backrest so Not my first back rest. This one was easy to install and adjust to fit me. Looks good and makes riding much more comfortable. Great price from amazon as well. A win win.

Works well within its limits (see full review)
This product is an affordable back rest that performs that function adequately. The executive summary then is this: It accomplishes the primary goal (provide back support and comfort) effectively, is more budget friendly than most other products, but lacks some amenities available in more expensive alternatives. In my view, the biggest shortcoming this product has is that it must be pulled out prior to a passenger mount/dismount. Competing products from Harley costing twice as much have the ability to fold forward for this purpose. Now, I don't find that to be that major of an issue. It is MADE to slip on and off the bike. There are really only two things needed to make this work good. One is the detent pin in the bracket needs to have the right amount of tension set so that the rest stays in position properly when in use, but still will pull out and push in without unreasonable effort. The second thing is that needs a certain amount of skill/technique to remove and put in place super quick. It took me maybe six to ten times before I got myself trained how to do it expertly. Now I can do it very easily and quickly. It is not really a con for me at all. But I recognize that perhaps not all people's coordination, finger strength, or what have you are necessarily the same. Some people might get good at it after only one or two tries compared to my ten, or maybe some will never really do well at it and it will frustrate them when the see their fellow riders simply fold down their Harley seats.Keep in mind that there are Harley seats that also can detach from the bike in case you want to lock it up in a saddlebag or whatever. I have played with those and found that while they are easy to fold down for passenger mounting, actually unclipping them is a bit more awkward than removing the Kuryakyn one.In conclusion, if you are someone who would leave the backrest attached and not remove it to prevent theft, you often ride with a passenger, and you do not mind spending perhaps twice as much money for the product, then I suggest you go with one of the appropriate Harley products. On the other hand, if you ride alone, or want to mostly lock up your rest while away from the bike to keep it from being stolen, or simply can live without the folding ability to save some good money, then this product is probably just the ticket!

Great product
Bought this for 2010 ElectraGlide. Very easy installation. Bolts right on using existing bolts. Numerous adjustments to get your exact fit. Very comfortable, especially for an old dude with back issues. Almost half the cost of the HD brand. If you've been looking for a backrest, this is the one. The instructions could be clearer on some steps, but anyone with basic skills can figure it out. Had it on in 15 - 20 minutes, and that was going slow and being careful to not scratch the fender. It can take several adjustments to get it exactly the way you want it, but it's easy. Great backrest.

Works for me
Received early. Easy to install on my 2014 FLHTK; although, I used stainless bolts, washers, and cap lock nuts in the 2 fender mounting holes in place of those supplied. Good range of back angle adjustment by removing 1 of the rear seat strap mounting screws, the single screw holding the seat on, and adjusting the 2) 11/16" nuts that back the neoprene shock absorbers. It took me 2 rides and adjustments to get the ideal lumbar support. The backside of the pad has a zippered pocket that I use for my sunglasses. I rated it 4 because the padding seems thin. I have nothing to compare it to, since I've never had a driver backrest; but, the Mustang sissy bar backrest on my cruiser is much more comfortable. At $100, or more, less than others, I'm satisfied.
