Always five stars!

We're getting closer to the finale. I can only hope it's as good as the rest of this series. Adele never gives up with her instincts and sheer willpower, her determination and drive keeps this reader on the edge.

Love all the books

This left me wanting the next book now. The reason I don't pre-order is because of my age . Otherwise I look forward to anything this author writes!

Past-paced international mystery

3,5 stars for me!This is book 7 in the Adele Sharp Mystery series and I would like to point out that I haven’t read any of the other books, so although you can read it as a stand-alone I did feel that a part of the book would have been enjoyable if I’d read the rest of the series. While I did enjoy the mystery of the international train murders, I was drawn more to the secondary story regarding the murderer of Adele’s mother. That part was gritty and straight up my alley. But not having read the previous books i felt I had stepped halfway into a film. That being said it was a fast-paced international mystery with great characters.I have another book by this author, waiting to be read. Once Gone! Can’t wait to read it now!I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Beware Cliffhanger

As usual Blake Pierce has delivered a good read. I started reading Left to Lapse last evening and finished it in today’s wee hours. I haven’t read all the books in this series yet, but it was relatively easy to pick up the story even though I had missed some episodes. While there is an element of “coziness” in the series that makes it a pleasant respite from more serious reads, the crimes are serious. There is less gore than some mysteries. There may be lots that the characters are accomplishing, but the solution comes more quickly. Sometimes that is just what I am looking forward to in a book. That said, there is also an ongoing situation from one book to the next. This time, the cliffhanger felt more frustrating, hence only four stars.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Another Thrill Ride

Well, here I am still riding the Blake Peirce roller-coaster. Another thrilling Adele Sharp adventure, crossing European lines, rushing to catch a killer! If you, like me, have been following the Adele Sharp series to hunt serial killers or you are reading this one as a stand-alone, you will not be disappointed. This book contains some satisfying conclusions and leaves you wanting more in certain areas. This author is always at the top of her game. Her strong, intelligent lead characters are also. I really liked this book. Maybe I should have given it 5 stars, but that means perfection. Rarely do I find perfection in a book. It is a great read and I can't wait for the next one!I received an advance review copy for free. This is my honest voluntary review.

A puzzling serial killer is on the loose

Left to Lapse is An Adele Sharp Mystery Book 7. WOW, Blake Pierce has written one of the best thrillers I have ever read. Book 6 flows perfectly into book 7. The story begins with Adele and John working to find a serial killer on a train while “the painter”, Adele mother’s killer, is killing again and looking for Adele. I was reading as fast as possible to see what happened next. The conclusion of the serial train killer was perfect and surprising. The end of the book is with the latest murder “the painter” committed. He is looking for Adele and she is ready for the hunt. Left to Lapse is everything I enjoy in a thriller. I can’t wait to read book 8. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Quick easy read mystery thriller

Fast moving mystery and can be a quick read. Although part of a series it is easily read as a stand alone. I have read a couple of the series books but did not feel I was lost . Characters are realistic and their conversations flow. Descriptions of the setting and the action puts you in the picture. It has an ending but it will lead you to be waiting and want to read the next adventure. Nice read.I received this book as an Advanced Reader Copy and was under no obligation to provide a review. The opinions expressed are my own. Many thanks to the author, publisher and Book Sirens for allowing me to read this book.
