Woodcraft Wood Pen Blank Assortment – 5 Pounds

Got this with the excitement of Christmas morning as I just started turning pens. I'm a bit dissappointed in the number of just clear wood blanks. They look like pine? Learning wood also so bare with me. Got a beautiful piece of Ebony that had a crack all the way down the side. All in all for a beginner it's OK, but now thaat I've bought this one I probably won't do it again.DebraPerris, CA

in our 5 lb bag of pen blanks, we received 42 pieces. 2/3 were exotic woods which had excellent patterns and wood grain. 1/3 was more basic or more common wood. 1 piece was not straight enough to turn. overall, we were very pleased with the quality of the wood and variety we received. for about $0.50 each it's a great deal!

Very happy with the wood selection 98% is useable right away the other 2% can be used for inlays or peiceing together. So 100% usable.

I make pens and always need extra blanks in case of blowouts, This grab was a good value and provided a good assortment of usable blanks for all purposes. I would recommend this product.

There are a variety of blanks in the bag and most of them are full-sized pen blanks, not half-sized blanks. I will probably order this again.
