Good Quality!
They are solid and worked well to support my boom mic behind my monitor. They worked so good I purchased a second set.

Do exactly what they're meant to do
I have a desktop microphone stand that I've had for years that only comes up about two inches from the desk. Popping one of these on gives me enough extra height that my Shure MV7 is in a great spot to use it. They're nice solid metal, and just screw right on to your existing mic stand. Definitely worth buying if you've got some shorter desktop stands laying around.

Nice method to get just a little more hight out of a microphone stand
This product is good if a microphone stand is just a little too short. In my case a desktop stand was too short and a regular stand was too tall. By adding a few of these extenders to a desktop stand, I was able to get just the right height. With an adjustable stand, the extra height is added to the top, but it is still possible to use the adjustable stand features to fine tune the height.

Exactly what I needed.
These extension tubes did exactly what I needed them to do. I actually only needed one of them so I have three left over for future applications. Well crafted, sturdy and even came with adapters.

Does what I ordered it for
I'm not sure what the typical use case for these extenders is. In my case, I have a microphone boom arm mounted to the back of my desk and after upgrading to a larger monitor the microphone was too far from my face in my normal sitting position. The combination of size/shape of my desk, length of my boom arm, and dimensions of my monitor would make it necessary to move the arm to the front of my desk in order to circumvent the problem, which I wished to avoid. I was considering purchasing a replacement arm that could bend around my monitor in some way when I stumbled upon these, and they've accomplished the desired outcome for less than 10% of the cost of what I thought I'd need.

Great solution
This is an ingenious way to get a desk mic to the right height. Just screw one or more of these onto the existing stand, to raise the mic clamp by a few inches. A great problem solver. Glad I found these.

For CAMERA Users You Will NEED Some Adapters
If you plan to extend on a CAMERA TRIPOD, or otherwise mount a CAMERA onto your microphone stand, this set REQUIRES one or two more adapters depending. This set does not provide either a camera thread size input threading, or a camera threaded stem to mount the camera. There are many adapter sellers with 8-packs of small adapters including this size.I purchased this set, and I'm satisfied. Knowing my needs, I also purchased an 8-pack of the adapters, which is where I obtained the picture I'm adding. I needed to extend a desktop camera tripod just enough for a wider image.Microphone mount = 5/8 inchCamera mount = 1/4 inch **Never force this size deep into your camera's mounting hole**Numerous inexpensive scissor arms and so on use the middle-sized 3/8 inch size
