I got My order damaged

We have a Model 3 with the glass roof tinted. That makes with glass roof sizzling hot in the California summer. We did a study on the spaceship cabin heat analysis before. Study suggests that it has to reflect or insulate the heat source before it enters the vehicle structure, or the overall vehicle will heating up. The tinted glass in our M3 is the case that the film is inside the vehicle, although it filtered out the radiation heat to the cabin, but the heat will be concentrated at the glass. When it exposed under sun long enough, glass gets very hot and emits radiative heat.This roof screen comes with a silver outer layer. It actually reflects out some part of the radiation. There are 3 fabric layers in total. It become a very good thermo insulator to the glass radiation heat. Best of all, it can be removed (not that easy though) in the cool days to enjoy the view of the glass roof. Our M3 with tinted glass, we totally cannot see anything but the sun. I ended up buying a similar set of roof screen for my M3 and considering to remove the tint.Note that, this review applies to all similar products not particularly for this one.

2020 Tesla model YI purchased the tan colored shield and was pleasantly surprised on the color appearance blending with my white interior. I didn't want black as the whole idea was to reflect as much sun & heat absorption.It is a 2 piece cover, consisting of a defused screen mesh panel and a silver colored reflective cloth panel that slips over the first panel if you want an opaque reflective surface facing the roof glass. It is held in place by 6 plastic clips that hold it securely and a small metal disk & magnet that you attach to the center of your roof glass (size of a U.S quarter dollar coin. The magnet is installed against the shield after installation to keep flex of the panel to a minimum.For me, it looks like a factory headliner, I have a noticeable much cooler interior while parked. I keep my windows closed and the a/c on in summer, so I can not comment on any flex while driving with windows down. A quick minute to remove & fold into the provided cloth bag. It will stay in place until cooler weather in the fall or removed for camping trips in my Model Y. 6 extra clips are also included. Happy I got it. Works for me.

The fit is excellent and I use six plastic clips to hold each shade in place. They aren't too difficult to get in and out and if I have the air on I leave them in while driving as they stay in place. Not sure how the back shade would react to wind but the front fits so well, I have driven windows down without problem. They are a somewhat difficult to fold up and if you don't follow instructions you could bend them. I think they work very well.

The item fits, mostly, not perfect, but works. And for the price, I guess I won't complain. The side rails are stuff, made of strong metal wire, I'm not concerned of it breaking apart, that's the good part. The not so good part is that it fitment of the rear glass is not perfect, but it will hold without needing clips. The roof itself is not so precision, and will need at least 4 clips to hold in place securely. Again, because of the relatively low cost, I'm ok with the few flaws, and imperfections

If you dont like to get your head scorched while driving in the summer, and want more overall protection from the sun in the whole interior of the car, this works just fine. Why theres a complaint about the exact installation is beyond me. This clicks on perfectly. You dont even need to use the things that it came with. Now i an finally enjoying driving during the day without the sun over head! I never signed up for a convertible! Which is how its like driving a Tesla S
