It's abridged!
It is beautifully illustrated, but, I was surprised and disappointed to find it was abridged (nowhere was that indicated when I purchased it). We enjoyed the writing towards the beginning, but by the end it became very abrupt, and the what should have been a thrilling ending, was drab and anti-climatic.

Missing a Chapter
What was titled as chapter 8 was chapter 7 repeated. There was no chapter 7 so I hade to download a digital copy from the library to read the missing chapter.

No chapter 7. Misprinted edition.
Chapter 6 is printed twice and missing chapter 7.

Missing chapter!
Was looking forward to reading this after watching the latest interpretation on TV only to be disappointed by discovering that a whole chapter is missing in so much that the previous chapter has been repeated despite the chapter heading being different!!

Dodgy batch of books
Ordered one and there was a midpoint whereby chapter 6 was printed twice with no chapter 7. Amazon promptly sent replacement which was great, only for the 2nd one to be the same. Dodgy batch of books probably bought on the cheap.
