Zodiac A20 Float Head Replacement

If your Polaris has stopped picking up leaves and debris, and seems to spend more time on its side than upright, this little part is what you need. The old one pops off and the new one slides right on. Unfortunately, the float that came with the vacuum started taking on water within the first 6 months. I replaced it and 3 months later the new one started taking on water. This is my third in less than a year. Hopefully this one will last. If not, I will be back to update my review.

I have had my Polaris (sport) pool cleaner for several years and it has been the best investment ever. It started to roll onto it's side a lot, which was very odd. The youtube videos I saw said to replace the float head when it does that, which was hard to believe. Believe it! I didn't notice anything wrong with the one I had, but when I replaced it, it went back upright and works great again. The price on this was amazing also.

This float filled with water somehow and caused my sweep to fall on its side. I only had this float about 6 months which the original one lasted 10 years. I have had the float sitting out side my pool for months and just went in the garbage since the water is clearly not coming out.

I couldn’t understand how poorly my Polaris 280 was performing then hear that it might be the float head being full of water, and sure enough it was. The new one works great. Super simple to install and the performance of the 280 is greatly improved! Like new!

This arrived timely (esp considering the impact C-19 is having on commerce in general) and was exactly as described. Of course, this item isn't exactly rocket science. I bought this one as a backup should the one on my Polaris start to leak. Which, I admit, has happened only once in 12 years. Still, I like being prepared.🙄. Stay safe out there everyone. /Ghost

I was having trouble with my pool vacuum so I called my pool store and they tried to sell me a new one. So instead I took the vacuum out and spent some time trouble shooting. Everything seemed to be working it just wouldn't stay upright and kept popping a wheelie. I final noticed my float head had a small crack in it and it was filled with water, which was throwing off the balance of the unit. So I got on amazon and ordered a new one for a few bucks. Problem solved and I saved big bucks.

2 months after installing, I found my pool sweep laying on it's side. After examining, I found this new float head completely filled with water??? I cant see any visible cracks so I'm figuring a poor internal seal. My last one lasted several years. What a waste.

I installed and 3 days later noticed my Polaris 380 was not working properly..turns out brand new float was full of water!! Amazon refunded the purchase price. Leery of ordering another..poor quality control.

This resolved my Polaris from not staying up-right while running. Got it for an amazing price and glad to have my pool being cleaned daily properly again.
