Initially, I hesitated to spend so much on a growth chart, but as I looked at others and really thought about what I wanted (long enough to track entire growth, sturdy enough to last through a lifetime, easy to move to a different location, cute but not loud colors, etc.), I realized I would be replacing others multiple times, and having to copy out all the measurements, and not ending up with the original one (which is very important to me) in the long run if I were to buy a paper one, and the fabric ones I saw were all too short to track my son's height until he's done growing, which is what I plan to do. I have had this for a year, taking it out to mark measurements and putting it back in its case each time, until today when I finally hung it up. It uncurled beautifully, and hung easily with a small Command hook through the prepunched hole. Then I hung the mini Sharpie it comes with right on the hook with it, ready for next time. They've really thought of everything! Yes, it's pricier than others, but this one will last, barring any real disasters, or a rambunctious 4-year-old who gets to the scissors, etc. It's made of a flexible but sturdy plastic of some kind, that has no off-gassing fumes to stink up the room. A very well-thought-out, well-executed product.

I like this child-measuring tape very much. We recently had our trim painted, which means that the marks we'd made on our trim to document our son's growth were gone. Before the painters started, I copied the measurements onto a post-it note so we can recreate them elsewhere. But I know we won't live in this house forever, so I wanted a tape that could move with us. I searched Amazon and found this product. It is definitely pricey for what it is, but I guess the manufacturer knows there aren't a whole lot of other options out there. I have not had the problem that other reviewers have noted with it getting to unroll. I took it out of its packaging and let it sit on the counter for a few days. Then I clipped it to the wire where we hang my son's artwork, and hung a chip clip on the other end. It was straight within a day.

I was looking for something small that I could mail internationally for my granddaughter's birthday. This met my requirements. It comes rolled up in a nice clear plastic container that appears will not get squashed in shipping. The illustrations are very cute and the coated paper seems durable. I presume it will have to be taped to the wall since it is not a vinyl decal.

This is a great height chart. I love the fact that it's portable so that you can keep tracking heights even if you move. I decided to hang mine up by using tape in a discreet location behind a door in the laundry room. I used packing tape to hang it up and it's nice and thin so it's not too noticeable, but we know it's there. I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars because it doesn't unroll well and I'm worried that it won't stay on the wall easily even though I used lots of tape. This is PERFECT just what I have been searching for!!! Wish I would have found it sooner. I will definitely order again and/or give as a shower gift.I followed the instructions and curled the chart the opposite way overnight to get it to lay flat and it worked beautifully. I used a 3M strip to adhere to the door with no problem. I liked that there were color/pattern options and that it included the mini sharpie (with a nice pin point tip). I love that it's portable and be easily be used as a keepsake. The measurements are true unlike other height charts that I had encountered and then had to send back. I can't even complain about the price because it such a good quality item and you get what you pay for. All in all just a great product.

The design I bought had many different animals stacked on top of each other as the inches of this chart go up. Each and every one of them is adorable. The material it's made of is sturdy plus the addition of a felt tip marker for recording names and dates is a plus. I purchased the Talltape in the smaller width version and it's the perfect size. My daughter really appreciated this gift and quickly measured/recorded her children's height as soon as it was hung up.

Great quality chart with a lovely dinosaur design. Comes tightly rolled in a small plastic container with a fine point Sharpie marker. Had to roll it the other way a few times which mostly helped uncoil it. Accurate measurements.

After searching for a height chart, I'm so glad I chose this one. It is very durable and I can see it holding up for a long time. The art (animal ABC's) is very nice. I'm also happy that it works so well with Sharpie, because that's my first choice for things like this. Tip: it comes with a regular Sharpie, but I used an ultrafine one that I already had - it worked great.

This is a great growth chart. Easy to hang (we used painter's tape and a thumb tack), sturdy for longevity and comes with a sharpie, and is easy to write on. Starts at 0, which many charts do not. Skinny, which was perfect as it fit between two doorways nicely. It is very plain, so I may add a simple design later with vinyl or such, like my daughter's name or timeless flower silhouettes. Worked perfect for what we were looking for.
