Inspirational, yet practical, logical and actionable

Really enjoyed this book. The chapters written by multiple co-authors make this a quick, enjoyable read, but more importantly, bring multiple perspectives, stories and examples about winning mindsets (and non-winning mindsets).I liked the ending paragraph of Sven Gade's chapter (Our Beliefs: The Deep Forces of Winning") - "Your mindset is the reflection of the story you are telling yourself. The better and more positive your story is, the higher your chances are to win."

A "how-to" to help release your inner winner!

As Erik Seversen writes in this compilation of advice from some of the world's leading performance coaches and trainers, winning is a state of mind. It's a perspective, a choice. However, if it were that easy, we'd all be winning all the time, right? Which is why this book is such an invaluable addition to your digital (or physical) library. Because no matter how confident we like to think we are, sometimes situations hit us for which we need the kind of support this book provides. This is my kind of book because you don't need to start at the beginning and read all the way through, but can dip in and out as the mood (and the chapter titles) compel you. Top prize from me goes to Tania Adams for the most attention-grabbing chapter title: Is Your Thinking Stinking? As a novelist and non-fiction author, I wanted to read what Kerry Fisher had to say about The Hero's Journey. But by and far, of the chapters I've read so far, the most helpful has been David Motto's Inner Voice Control: A critical component of success. David has long been an expert in helping musicians to develop their craft to an elite level. Now, thankfully, he has expanded his reach to offer performance coaching to individuals in all fields of human endeavor. He drew me in immediately with the story of Jonathan who froze just before an important audition. I love what David has to say about knowing the difference between what you can and can't control, and was delighted by the validation of what I'm already doing, including visualisations, rituals, and positive framing.Something totally new that I took away was David's examples of the competing voices of the inner critic and the inner correspondent and I look forward to integrating this wisdom into my daily life as I navigate my journey as a debut novelist. His is Chapter 24. If the rest of the chapters are as well-written and practically beneficial, then this will have been a priceless investment, indeed.

A great read for anyone looking to get a real life view on peak performance in everyday life!

As a Global-Award Winning Burnout Hacker (Burnout Prevention Educator), I was interested in the real life experiences of understanding and managing peak performance, and how the research and trials of techniques, many of which I go into in great depth in my own coaching, translate into real everyday life situations. I was not disappointed! The contributors take you on their journeys giving their own experiences, in an easy to read book covering a topic which can easily become heavy in detail and research findings, and provides a wealth of information at an appropriate level for a wide ranging audience.I personally appreciated the candid and personal nature of Corina Zanner-Entwistle's chapter (33) 'ABUNKOKHELI', which kept me enthralled to the end.A highly recommended read overall!

I could see myself in the characters and be wowed by practical suggestions!

The book is a collation of inspiring stories. Many. It is easy to read and as I was flipping the virtual pages, I could see myself in so many of the characters. "Oh, gosh, I have done that, too, before!". I particularly liked the conclusions focusing on how my own mindset influences me along the way. If I was to pick a chapter, it was that of Sven Gade that really caught my attention - filled with stories of success but also challenges and failures, daring to be vulnerable and sharing the true learning along the way that has made many overcome whatever came their way! Great book, great read!
