This is a sturdy knife
The one and only thing I don't really like is the handle is a bit uneven the craftsmanship is not A+ but the knife itself is a beast. I work 12 hour days wearing this on my side and the sheath holds up really well. I have got it caught on a few things and it holds up. I haven't had to use it. I have purchased this for last resort protection on my job because it is compact for a fixed blade. Handle is very nice just not symmetrical One more thing... when you hold this knife it feels more expensive that $17. I had one person tell me they thought it was a $60 knife because of the weight.

This is a replacement for one I gave as a gift. Top quality for a great price.

Decent
The machining on the handle is a bit uneven, which is annoying if you have OCD or are an artist, or you just hate things that aren't symmetrical. The blade does not hold a an edge very well. However, it's a big, fat, weighty, fixed blade knife. It's a solid hunk of metal that extends from tip to handle. If you need a general purpose knife that won't fall to pieces, this is a nice budget option. The sheathe is quite nice; honestly it's probably the nicest part.UPDATE 7/19: It has been months since I've owned this and I have to say it's serving me well. I sharpened it a couple times and the edge has held up pretty good. Very good knife for the $15 price range. For fck's sake, I've slammed it into a log, hammering the handle with another log, and the knife came out no worse for wear, sans a slightly dented handletip. Maybe if you are better at sharpening than I am you could get this thing to hold a razor sharp edge. That is above my capability though. It cuts fruits, veggies, and meat like a dream. It also cuts through packaging, zip ties, cordage, and stuff of that nature well. I use the sharp tip to clean and shave off my nails and my dog's nails from time to time. Honestly I am very satisfied with my purchase and will probably have this knife for the rest of my life.

Wow...very nice.
Beauty of a knife. Heavy, solid, thick and full tang....not sure how you could do any better at this price point.

The price isn't bad but I was expecting more
So I've been in bigger fan of Swiss tech. They really hit out of the park with their new lines of folding knives with ball bearing pivots and good steel and things like carbon fiber and micarta.... I guess I was spoiled because this is when they're older offerings and I was not impressed first of all the sheath is pleather and the belt loop looks like it will tear off after any use painting off a belt because of catches on anything at all it will tear I probably would have kept it if not for the defect in the actual blade itself you can see in the picture I'm not really sure what was happening here I don't know if it was a grinding mistake or a problem with the steel I'm not going to take a chance based on the quality of the grind combined with a cheap sheath that's going to tear on you and possibly lose the knife entirely this one's going to be a refund
