KUCAM 1080P Wireless Smart Home Day Night Security Surveillance IP Camera Built in Microphone and Speaker

Worked OK for a few months.Recent app revisions on the Android platform have resulted in pan and tilt not working for me.About a month ago, it started having trouble reconnecting to the wireless. Often times a power cycle would solve it, but as of a week or so ago, it has stopped functioning completely. The front LEDs light up, but no initialization cycle (where the camera spins) or network connectivity is happening at all. I guess it's finally died... I suppose it's on to another brand again.

This is my third Kucam. Overall, they have been decent little cameras for keeping track of my pets while I'm gone from the house. I'm only rating it a three because this one camera failed completely after about two months - it never would connect properly to the wifi and in the end, simply stopped powering on when plugged in. So, like the song says, two out of three ain't bad - but it isn't good enough for five stars either.

OK camera but desktop interface lacks features to make full use of the camera's features.No CD provided and good luck finding their website.The suggested DNS site is dead.Setup wasn't as bad as some reviews, depends on your skills.Audio is pure garbage but I wasn't expecting much.Will stick with Foscam from now on.

took a little while to figure out how to get it to work, but once I did, it works perfectly. I do wish there was an easier way to check out the video feed online, but the iphone app works perfectly.

Just no. The only thing good I can say is that it was easy to connect to. However, the app was the worst product I've ever used. And the camera lights were ridiculously bright. The app... the worst piece of work EVER!

This little camera is awesome! It has regular view (which the picture is crystal clear) and night vision making it perfect as a baby monitor, or really anything you'd need it for. It gives you the ability to take pictures or even record a segment from your phone. One of the most entertaining perks of this is it acts as a speaker where you can push a button and talk through your phone and whoever is on the other end can hear you (you can hear them too, but they don't get to choose when :) ) I love the fact you can make the camera move, and it has a pretty awesome range. If positioned right you can make the camera turn to where you will have view of an entire room. It even goes up to the ceiling. It makes a little noise when it's moving, but it's not loud by any means.The setup was a little difficult, the instruction book provided was not very detailed but it did include a CD with a MOUNTAIN of information. It was easier to look at other reviews and read how they set theirs up vs sorting through all the info on the CD.One word of caution: DO NOT buy this product if you do not have a computer/laptop and wifi at home. To set this up to work on your mobile device you first have to set it up on your computer. And the better your wifi connection, the better this will work. With just your standard wifi it works pretty good, but there is a small lag and it freezes occasionally for a second.I'm also having a problem with the menu on my phone, I'm not sure if anyone else has found the solution to this or not. The options (to take pics, record, etc) will disappear and I'm not sure how to get them back. They seem to come back and disappear randomly. Has anyone found a solution to this?This is a pretty awesome little gadget, especially for the money. I would highly recommend it to anyone that needs to be able to monitor their home while their away.I received this item at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review.

Update 12-29-15Kucam sent .0036 firmware to me. Upgrade was easy and flawless. I can now use and adjust the camera on my linux (ubuntu) based system without active-x. Likewise I can view the live video using vlc and kodi/xbmc using rtsp://user:password@IP:rtsp port/live/ch0Kucam quick response was impressiveI did not try everything yet, but am very optimistic that Kucam will fix any firmware problems.Posted 12-28-15I received one of these for Christmas, and truly sorry - it is worthless to me. I can access it with my android for limited viewing & panning but that is about it- selecting record causes the app to crash. The audio is very poor, both ways and there is no easy way to access the the saved files via the network using a web browser that does not support active-x.
