Perfect replacement for 1995 Norcold
This was an exact replacement for our 1995 Sandpiper with a Norcold reefer. A hail storm turned the original to chips the size of quarters.

Which way is front?
The base piece is labeled Front, but the cover is not. I assume the tapered end goes forward, bit I'm not 100% sure on that. It looks correct both ways.

I had to order the top and base from separate vendors. I was afraid that this top would not fit, however it was exactly as the vendor described and fit perfectly. The quality is good and I'll definitely order from this vendor again.

Replaced My Ventmate 65528 Perfectly
I initially purchased a different brand cover for my vent and had to return it because the screw holes wouldn't line up with the holes in my base plate and I didn't want/need to replace the plate. The original cover was a Ventmate 65528, which may no longer be manufactured, so I ordered this one. The first thing I noticed is that there are actually 3 different sets of mounting holes available (see pictures), so this one is much more "universal" that the one I had previously bought. One set of mounting holes lined up perfectly with the original Ventmate plate holes, so installation was a matter of punching out the plastic at the top of the correct set of holes in this plate and using the new (and slightly shorter) supplied screws to replace my original rusty ones. The major difference between this cover and the original is it is slightly narrower and a bit longer, especially in the front (see pictures.) That might have raised an issue if I had anther rooftop fixture directly in front of the refrigerator vent. My final picture is the finished project, nice and shiny new!

Exact fit
This was used to replace the old one on my 1989 rv, it is much heavier material so should hold up well, the screws are stainless .
