Seal on just 1 side, get the 6203LLU for double sealed
Looks like NTN changed their design of this bearing. My 86 Vette has this on the idler pulley, and it clearly stated is a 6203LU, but it is sealed on both sides.This one is now sealed on only 1 side, and it clearly states that in the description and on the NTN site for this product.If you want one sealed on both sides, get the 6203LLU (two Ls)

Only sealed on one side, wtf.
Maybe the one I got was a reject or something, but the orangeish seal protecting the internal ball bearings only was present on one side of the bearing assembly. I had to pull the seal out of the old bearing it replaced. With that seal swapped on, it works just fine, but it gets 2 stars for not having that seal from the factory. I can't imagine NTN didn't include it originally, but it's what I got.FWIW, this bearing fits the Ford 4.6 idler pulley and tensioner pulley. I used it on my 97 Crown Victoria since the $15 this cost was a lot cheaper than a new idler assembly.

Good part, some are made in Canada, some are made in Japan.... not sure about China.

NTN is a great Japanese bearing manufacturer
Paid a little more for NTN bearing because it was original equipment on my 92 Honda Civic and held up 24 years. NTN is a great Japanese bearing manufacturer. This one was made in China and their steel is not as good and they have no concern for quality. The original was sealed on both sides and this one had only one seal. I could not tell that from picture on Amazon. I took a seal from the original. Came pretty fast works well and probably will last longer than me or the car.

This bearing only has one seal on one side. The other side is open, no seal or shield. I have a bearing with this exact number on it that is adouble sided sealed bearing. NTN says 6203LLU would have seals on both sides. Picture(s) or better description would have been nice as NTN produced alot bearings in serpentine belt idler pulley(s) marked only 6303LU that were fully sealed. These bearing were installed in many makes and models of cars, light trucks and even big trucks.
