TubShroom Tub Hair Catcher Protector, Fits 1.5" - 1.75" Drain, Gray

This works great. I have long curly hair that comes out every time I shower.I've tried many different hair catchers. This one catches the hair but allows the water to drain!One thing I do is not push it all the way down in the drain. There are holes in the sides of the tube that goes into the drain and those are enough holes to still allow the water to drain while catching the hair on the bottom ring.

This is simple to use, my tub drain has not been clogged since I've been using it.It is a quality, rust free product. I highly recommend.Just remember to take it out and clean the hair off of it. I do it every 5 days, it's easy and keeps the product working.

This works great! I have long-ish hair and my husband has a full beard. We have used other hair catchers for the drain but still had to clean the drain; this catches ALL of our hair! I do wish it was a bit smaller as I have to fold it slightly to get it to fit inside the drain opening. Still worth it though!!

I’ll start this off by saying, this product works great! Tired of taking your drain apart every 2 months to fight with tangled hair? Then this is for you. But…I was disappointed when it arrived. Amazon delivery was great, package arrived without damage on my porch. The package for the tubshroom however was opened. There was some “stuff” on the bottom of the filter. It looked like someone received it, stuffed it in their drain and found it didn’t work for them, and returned it. I figured it was going to live in my drain anyway, so didn’t want to hassle with going out of my way to return. I’m happy with the product, but should have paid a discounted price for a product that clearly wasn't new. Product itself gets 5 stars, but receiving an opened, used product knocks it down a bit.

I bought this product about 6 months back and finally need to add my reveiw, as not many reviews on here mention the mold issue. I bought the silicone tub shroom in grey for both our upstairs and downstairs shower/tub combos. Upstairs tub is fiberglass, downstairs tub porcelain cast iron tub. The reviews were great and so I bought two at the same time. Yes, they are amazing at catching hair (three long haired gals in the house) buuuuuut the one thing that I don’t understand is the mold that seems to be permanent on the bottom of the shroom. I clean regularly and thoroughly. I don’t have the luxury of hiring a cleaning lady, and my bathrooms get a thorough clean every two weeks and picks ups in between. We are a household of 5 (2A and 3children) and the showers are used daily by myself and my husband and a couple more times a week by our children.The black mold on the bottom of these things is AWFUL. It won’t come off. Not with vinegar, not with bleach (I thought bleach got rid of most things!), not with scrubbing bubbles, Lysol, the pink stuff, nor the horrid mold and mildew cleaner I brought up from the basement as a last resort. It won’t scrub off, peel off, sand off, soak off.The design is incredibly efficient and the material (silicone) is probably part of its genius. But the mold is making me rethink keeping them. Mold is dangerous and unhealthy. My plan is to try the stainless (it was my first choice but there’s always the budget to keep me double guessing the more costly choice!) in a little bit and see if mold grows on those as well. My thoughts are it would be much easier to clean. Amazing at catching hair but the mold is horrendous. Im flabbergasted as to why others don’t also get this? Would love to be clued in!

This is crazy effective - I can't believe how much hair it collects! I'll never have to pull hair from my drain with one of those nasty hook things again!It's super easy to use and clean - it's rubber so you can easily just pull the hair off with a tissue and throw it away. I try to clean after every couple showers (just whenever I have the time) because the less hair that collects on it, the easier it is to remove.Fits the drain perfectly and has suction enough to stay in place, but still easy to remove and clean - very light weight.I have a gray one and it looks decent in the tub, but who cares what it looks like when it works this well!! I can tell that this is super durable and will last a long time. I love it so much, I might get more as stocking stuffers!

This product works great. It really catches all the hair from going down the drain, but doesn’t clog it up. It stays in the drain without any issues all the time. Only issue for us is we have to replace it a bit frequently, because it will start to mold, but our faucet also has a slow leak so it most likely is partially our faucets fault.

I have long hair. I also went through a very stressful period in my life, but I'll spare you the details of my divorce and illness. Suffice to say, I started losing a bunch of hair - "telogen effluvium," they call it. Well, my shower drain started getting clogged super quickly, and the stuff that came out of there was NASTY. Think of the creepy ghost girl from The Ring, basically being pulled out of my drain on a regular basis. Once it was bad enough that I couldn't fix it myself and needed to get a plumber (expensive as hell).Well, this little sucker has saved the day. It catches all the hairs, and when you notice your water starts draining a little more slowly, you just scoop it out, gag a little when you see all the narsty, narsty hairs wrapped around it, and throw them in the trash. Boom, problem solved. I haven't had a clogged drain since.So this was a life saver when I was going through my extensive hair loss, but now, even back to normal levels of loss, it's an essential product. I lost my old one during a move, and the second I realized that I went back on here and bought another. Simple but fantastic product.

I really like this product compared to others i’ve used in the past for a few reasons:1: Flexible material makes it really easy to pinch and get all the hair off at once2: I recommend rinsing soap suds off and removing from plughole between uses (to keep mould away), this product is raised off the ground a bit when on a flat surface on legs rather than flush, meaning it dries easier and therefore hopefully won’t get mouldy like others i’ve had before.3: lightweight, easy to grab to remove4: water can still flow fast down the plughole5: looks really neat6: won’t move around

Put it in never looked back. Great product does what it says, clean once a week. Very happy.
