The Big Names Now Have Competition
Doorbell cams and, really, cams in general have come a long way over the past 10 years or so. I first bought an off brand doorbell cam about 4 years ago. It didn't even come with batteries and the batteries alone were very expensive. I ended up returning it and after more research I decided that Ring was really the best option for a battery powered doorbell cam. I have to say this is the first off brand cam I have gotten that seems to be a game changer. I can't attest for durability as I only have had it a couple days. The installation and set up is extremely easy. I like that it includes an indoor chime and has 3 days of free cloud storage (after that it dumps those videos and starts a new 3 day cycle) but you really don't need more than that since you can download important videos right to your phone. The picture may not be quite as good as others but it is pretty clear and not far off and night vision pretty good as well. It doesn't appear to have a zoom function. I wish it has the ability to set motion zones but so far it seems to be good at not detecting every little thing like cars going by etc. And only capturing someone walking up to the camera so that is a plus if it continues to work that way. I didn't charge it before putting it to use. It had 76% charge and still holding at that after 18 hours. So I think the battery life will be good. Unfortunately you have to remove the cam to recharge. So for how ever long it takes to charge it is out of service. This isn't uncommon though it seems. Overall this appears to be a great cam at a great price!

Excellent doorbell replacement
Easy to install - easier, in fact, than installing or replacing a regular wired doorbell. I had bought a replacement doorbell and pushbutton, but the transformer was in the crawlspace in the attic somewhere so it was easier to just connect the Aiwit camera to the WiFi. The instructions that came with the unit were for several different models, each with its own way of connecting, but after finding the correct model, connecting to WIFI was seamless. One differentiating feature of this camera doorbell is that it has a plug-in doorbell - you just plug it into any socket in any room where you want it to ring. When someone presses the doorbell, the plug in doorbell sounds, in addition to any cellphone with the aiwit app. I like this because a) I do have the option of seeing who's at the door on my phone wherever I am, at home or out of town; b) if my phone if off, silenced, in the car, or otherwise unavailable, the plug-in bell rings in the house. This is an expensive add-on for other brands. The system motion sensor is very sensitive. I don't need an alert if someone walks by my front door, or the wind moves the trees, etc. so I turned motion and sound detection off.I do like being able to see who's ringing my bell and even talk to them even when I'm not home. If it's Amazon just dropping off a package, I can see the package, activate motion detection and call a neighbor to pick it up if I don't want it left on the front porch. (The Prime delivery driver will be long gone by the time I answer the doorbell....)Battery life appears to be about 6 months, without motion detection activated. Batteries are easy and fast to recharge.Great product, great price.

Economically Priced Performance
Sometime ago, I helped two of my neighbors install their Ring Video doorbell. Their homes are made of stucco. (I happen to own a drill with a carbide bit.) I also helped a third neighbor install his Simply Safe Video Doorbell/Security System. That's when I realized this Video Doorbell thing was a good idea. The problem is, I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on hardware and hundreds more on subscriptions. After researching on the internet, I came up with a well-priced alternative, the V5 Video Doorbell, which I have owned now for over two years with no issues. The V5 is the predecessor to the subject of this Review, the new and more advanced version, the T8. The T8 offers 1080p Video, a step above the V5's 720p.The T8 model (approximately 5.5" x 2") is smaller in size than the V5. It uses two batteries (included) instead of three and still, remarkably, can operate 24/7 for up to 3-4 months on a single charge (depending, of course, on your sensitivity settings and how often you use live video & audio). As a side note, out of the box, it initially needs a 14 hour charge. The T8 comes complete with batteries, mounting hardware, charging cable, a wireless door chime and instruction manual. The chime operates flawlessly at nearly 30' away from the T8's location. (Simply Safe did not offer that option.) The wireless chime is volume adjustable, has multiple ringtones and has a clear, audible sound that can be heard throughout our entire home. The T8 is waterproof with an extremely wide 166* viewing angle, as you can see in the photo. One of the new added features I like about the camera in an app setting they call "Humanoid Detection". It is adjustable (high / medium / low) and helps prevent the movement of shrubs & tree branches from triggering motion detection or notification. Although this camera will not accept a memory card or remote power supply, as the previous model did, it offers free cloud storage for three days on a revolving loop, or you can subscribe for an entire year for less than $29. (as per the manual). Is there a better bargain? There is some discrepancy between the manual and the online information regarding group sharing. The online information states you can share with seven users at a time. The manual states eight users. This issue is insignificant to me. The beauty of this feature allows up to three of the users to view the video simultaneously. However, only one user may use the intercom at a time. The T8 app provided works with both Android & iOS Systems. As for your home WiFi, the T8 only supports 2.4Ghz. This shouldn't be a problem because most 5Ghz WiFi routers support 2.4Ghz as well. One of the other features I find very convenient about the T8 is the customer service icon clearly available on your mobile screen. (No need to search for a website or an email address.)Mounting the camera on a wood surface requires nothing more than a screwdriver. Mounting on a stucco or cement surface will require a drill with an appropriate bit.I don't know if it is standard, but my doorbell came with two packages of mounting hardware and two security screws. The security screw is used to secure the camera to its mounting plate and is extremely small. Losing this screw can be catastrophic, so Kudos to GEREE for including two packages of mounting and security hardware in the box. As you will see in the photo, I highly recommend using a magnetized screwdriver to remove or reinstall the security screw when installing the system and charging the batteries.Tip: I purchased a separate charger and additional batteries so that my camera will not be offline while my batteries are charging.I would have given the T8 a 5 General Rating if it had the capability to add an external power supply and a memory card. Despite those inefficiencies, its performance is a 5.No need to spend hundreds of dollars on name brand electronics & subscriptions when GEREE offers a very capable, comparable and high quality camera system for so much less. Even without taking advantage of their 20% discount (available on Amazon), in my opinion, this T8 is the real bargain.

La bateria no dura
Se cargo por las 12 horas que se recomienda y literalmente en minutos se descargo la batería solo por usarla y checar la cámara.

Surprisingly amazing
I bought this on a whim, I'm not sure I really need a doorbell camera in my neighbourhood, but I wanted one just in case. The scope is very wide, you can turn it horizontal for a different view. Assembly and use is easy with the app. The picture is clear and good quality.I charged it once when I first got it, almost two weeks ago, and it is still at 69% battery life. I live in a townhouse complex so there are people and cars constantly going by. It also picks up humming birds going to my himming bird feeder (you can adjust the sensitivity).Considering I almost bought a $250 doorbell camera, I'm pretty excited that I got this one, on sale, and it works as well as it does!Definitely recommend.

Don't waste your money!
This camera is junk, the charge lasts less than a week, then they tried to force online storage instead of live, no way to download to SD card either, terrible customer service from somewhere in China, don't waste your money, totally garbage!

Great quality for price
So far this product has worked really well for us. It detects motion quickly, alerts us right away and is very easy to use with the app. We were not able to connect it to our indoor chime but the company responded immediately and sent an indoor chime that works great! The only downfall is the product is that that battery needs to be recharged every 2-3 weeks. I would definitely recommend!
