Sturdy Faux Leather
The Mybecca Vinyl Faux Leather comes in a large 54” wide piece that is one yard long. The fabric is sturdy, and the cognac brown is a nice color shade – although the finish is rather dull. I ordered this in hopes of using it to make tags for handmade items, but unfortunately it is not going to work for that due to the felt-like backing on the leather. It is thick, and fuzzes around the edges when cut, so it does not give a finished look. This would be more appropriate for covering an item or making a piece of clothing, etc. that has sewn seams. Overall, the faux leather itself is decent quality, just does not work for my needs.

Lighter Shade Than Expected
I’m not sure what color cognac really is, but this faux leather was a little lighter than I thought it was going to be. It’s a solid light brown I would say, more orangeish in tone than red. It is one continuous piece and back is a felt like material. My son is the Mandalorian for Halloween so he wanted a matching sling bag to carry his stuffed baby Yoda and booty for the night. It is a good enough quality for this craft purpose, but maybe not if you are intending to make some real clothing out of it and want it to look like real leather.

works for me
I received a piece of material that feels like thick vinyl on one side with a fuzzy back. It measured 55" by 36" by my tape. It feels reasonably thick and sturdy but cuts easily with sewing scissors, even through two layers at once. It didn't give my sewing machine any trouble, but getting pins through it takes a bit of force. I wouldn't want to hand sew this without decent thimbles. Overall, it worked well for my purposes. (We made a sword belt and sheath for a Halloween costume.)

Vinyl material with a fleece backing, better suited for sewing projects
This material is being advertised as faux leather but it is more vinyl than faux leather. It even has a fuzzy fleece lining, what you usually see with tablecloths.I ordered this faux leather/vinyl to use with our laser for engraving projects. But, I’m now realizing it’s not the right material. It’s better suited for sewing projects.
