The mango slicer works great! It’s quick and easy too! Make sure the small metal emblem is showing on the top of the handle when you press down and make sure your Mango is standing straight up with the point and push down just once don’t turn it over because it’s very sharp on the other side. You can use the other piece to take the skin off but I found I didn’t need to do that since I was just eating it myself, but it would be good if you were cutting it up and using it in a recipe or with other fruit.

Great buy, it was one of the more expensive mango cutters but it really does the job. Very easy clean up. Most of the other ones were just the cutting tool, this one has a base that is the holder of the fruit (keeps it from rolling around. Plus the base has side edges that allow you to push the mango down the side and separate the skin. Big help makes it fast.

Bottom line: If you enjoy 🥭🥭, I think that you will enjoy this mango slicer.Summary:: Social media and Amazon algorithms give me some really off the wall recommendations. For example, they have recommended a multicolored toilet light, clothes for pet chicken (I don’t have a pet chicken), all kinds of cosmetics and personal hygiene product that I don’t need or can’t afford (like a $1K+ hair removal system). Of all the things recommended to me, I was never once recommended a mango slicer. I didn’t even know they existed! Now that I have one, I do not understand why one wasn’t t recommended to me earlier. If anyone needs this mango slicer, I do.I eat mangoes as if the last mango tree on earth will stop producing fruit tomorrow. But I HATE cutting them. My left hand is challenged due to carpal tunnel tunnel like problems and mangoes are slick. I forever worry about cutting my hand while cutting them and presliced fresh mangoes are pricey.This slicer has been AMAZING for me! 👉🏾It is not perfect, though.👈🏾 I have bent one or two of the tiny teeth as I learned how to position the slicer to not hit the seed. I unbent them…but there is a tiny I’ve gotten a ton better, but I’m not perfect. But overall, this slicer is so useful for me. I will definitely buy this again once this one reaches the end of its lifespan or it gets dull (becaue I do not see a way to sharpen it).👉🏾RATING EXPLANATION👈🏾The reason for the four stars:: I don’t know how long it will last because of the bent teeth or inability to sharpen it. But for now, I love it and it’s getting lots of use. I have put some mileage on this thing. Also, there is a learning curve for use. If you don’t position the slicer well, you cut into the mango seed. Depending on how much force you use, you will bend the tiny teeth on the blade or you can get the slicer stuck in the seed and you have to kinda pry it loose.

Just gotta say best ever mango slicer. Just center the pit stem at the top and perfect every time.I don’t write reviews but this product really deserves it!!

I eat a lot of mangos so this seemed to be a clean way to separate the pulp from the stone/pit. When everything is lined up perfect it does a decent job of getting most of the pulp away from the stone. Lining it up to exactly slice around the stone is a challenge so frequently you end up cutting some of the stone. This results in having to cut it away with a knife (not a big deal since it is usually a small piece). However the small teeth on the tool frequently bend over so I use a small pair of pliers to pull them back straight. Any pulp left on the stone is either trimmed or eaten off the stone. I never use the peeler function so once I separate the pulp from the stone, I cross hatch each side (making squares) and then cut it into strips. to eat, bend the strips and the squares pop up for easy eating. Even with it's faults, I think it is better than trying to hold on to the slippery mango to cut it with a knife.
