I ordered one of these to be given as a gift for my granddaughter. I loved it so much I decided to order two more. I made the mistake of thinking they were all the same and ordered from another seller who was selling them for $2 less than this one. Big mistake! The leather used on the second two seemed to be reject material. There were streak marks and obvious places where the leather had been torn but patched. There were the same number of pages, but the books were not as thick as the original, making it obvious that the paper itself was not as thick. Compared to the book that I had received from P&A Handmade sellers, they were not acceptable to be given as gifts, so they were returned in favor of two more books from P&A. Spending the extra $2 per journal was a no brainer. The replacements are of excellent quality and I know my granddaughter and daughter will love them. PS--I'm keeping one for myself!

This is exceptionally crafted , and just as beautiful as shownWe purchased this for a dear friend and neighbor who was recently diagnosed with dementia at 53yrs young , so she could write her experience as she faces this battle with this incredibly sad disease. instead she decided to write journal about her and her husbands lives and their history&family's history for her soon to be grandchildren,, while she still remembers . I believe we need to buy a few more of these for her to complete her story

Beautiful item. Small and compact

My only complaint is that they send you whatever they have on hand, so don't expect an exact match to the photo you selected. I had my heart set on the design I chosen and I was disappointed. also, this is NOT a regular size notebook, it's very small, so be wary. after returning this one I found another listing that offered a similar one in a bigger size. the overall quality is fine for the price point, but don't expect perfection.

This journal is beautiful! I bought it as a gift for a friend and I think she will really love it. Some of the reviews I saw made me a little nervous about the quality of the product but when it arrived today I was pleasantly surprised with the great quality and craftsmanship. The color was true to the picture and the paper is high quality, great for a fountain pen or any type of dry media. The latch on the side secures the journal nicely and although it looks a bit bulky at first it adds a nice old fashion touch. The leather binding is thin but seems durable, like it can stand up to years of regular use. If you are looking for a great gift for a friend this is it. 5⭐️

I was excited to get this and start writing away but and I do say BUT!!! Upon opening the journal I immediately realized I'd have to return. There was an overwhelming smell of mold, like it's been packed away for a long time and hidden. It's not a chemical smell from the leather as I own a lot of leather (bags, boots, shoes, etc.) so I know the smell. I've also stored things and know what mold smells like. This. IS. MOLD. I know this is handmade paper but in flipping through the pages, did I notice a wrapper from something like a ketchup packet in the mix? I sure did (see photo). I didn't know whether to laugh or cry or both. I put back in the plastic before my sneezing started as my eyes had already started itching...Mold aside, the size is perfect and would've been just what I wanted. The quality of the clasp and the leather were nice for the price. If you're looking for superior quality and product then you should go for something more expensive. I wanted something nice yet knowing I wouldn't freak out about throwing it in my backpack, tossing on the floor, or if I accidentally stepped on it. This would've fit the bill. Due to receiving a product with the smell of mold, I will not be exchanging. I'll be going to a bookstore and finding a journal in person.

It's been a few weeks since I received this. I ordered this as a wedding gift for a wedding I am officiating. I have been writing in this for a few weeks and pasting pictures. It is a high quality and is better than I expected. This feels and smells like a very expensive book. The color is deep and vibrant. The cover is very detailed. The latch is well constructed. The paper is also better than expected, thick. It has a very vintage look and feel. Other reviews claim the heart is upside down. This is not the case. The heart if right side up and aligned with the latch on the right side. Perfect. I will order several more of these. I purchased this item at full price and was not compensated for this review.

After opening the purchase my hands were brown from gangling it the quality was terrible such a shame as it the perfect size it was all dinted looked nothing like the picture will use it fir something can’t be bothered returning it such a shame

I bought this to use it as a sketchbook. It has terrible paper I would not recommend drawing on it. the paper feels bumpy making it hard to draw. However I think it would work well for writing.
