Good basic digital clock
This is going to sound dumb, but at the same time I really couldn't care less, because we are all creatures of habit. I had a DVR from my cable company that had a clock on it. Well, it crapped out, and I had to go to the company's latest and "better" option, which is this tiny box with no clock. I MISSED MY DIGITAL CLOCK IMMENSELY. I had no idea how much I relied on that one clock. So I searched on Amazon for a replacement and went with this option. The digits are far larger but not distracting. There are varying degrees of brightness of which you can choose to set it. And it's easy to set. It fills my need. I am most pleased with it.

Basic alarm clock to see at night
This is a great high visibility alarm clock with a dimming feature to be easy on the eyes late at night.

Simple, Sleek, Easy to Read, with Auto and Adjustable Dimming
I needed a clock for my bedside table that wouldn't blast light in my face or mess with my sleep, but would be easy to read if I wake in the night. This little clock is perfect. The red light is unobtrusive (SO much better than white or blue light), and the auto-dim feature (that you can also customize) is great. The lowest dimness is set through the night, and it's nice and low (but still easy to see and read)--enough that having the clock on the table next to me doesn't cause any issues with light in my face. The clock itself is sized nicely, with a sleek flat face. It plugs in, which I like because I don't have to monitor battery power, but it has battery back-up for power outage.

Multiple dim settings and good battery back up
I like the multiple dim settings becasue I dont like a bright clock in the room when I'm sleeping. You can dim this to the point it barley puts out light. Our electric tends to flash often in our area and I dont like those clocks that flash 12:00 everytime the electric goes out and you have to reset the time. This one, you dont have to do reset it. It remembers time, even when electric goes off. I like that the clock can be powered by USB or AC. Only negative is, this clock is diffcult to see the time in a bright room during the day light.

Love this alarm!
I hate difficult alarm clocks and this is definitely not difficult! There are very few buttons so it's very self explanatory on how to use it. The red light does actually dim to very very low so it doesn't disturb my sleep at all. The alarm is pretty loud. Over all, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a bare bones basic clock.

The perfect digital clock
We needed 2 new digital clocks. Bought one for our bedroom and one for our living room entertainment stand because we changed from cable to streaming and missed not having clocks once we turned in our old cable boxes. We looked at so many clocks and a cool thing happened. While this was the least expensive one it was also the best for our needs. Nice *BIG* and thick numerals and the fact that you can select multiple brightness settings makes it great! In the living room we have that one set on the #2 brightness setting. And the one in the bedroom we set at the next step down the #3 setting which is even dimmer so it doesn't interfere with getting to sleep. The red numbers are also the best color for blending in and not being glaring... it's relaxing.

Great bang for buck, excellent features, minor flaws
For $15, you can't beat this, I think. I'm using it as a nightstand, right next to my face alarm clock. The auto-dimming feature is perfect - at night (10pm - 6am) it's very dim indeed, not distracting whatsoever, but still totally easy to read if I need to. Then it's also perfect, brightening up as the day brightens. This is in stark contrast to the triangular/prism-shaped, "wood" (it's not wood but is a nice effect) clock I tried, which did not have auto-dim. But even manually dimming, even the lowest setting (besides display off, which is useless) was still waaay too bright for a dark room/sleeping.Another review said the "crescendo" alarm tone did not increase in volume - not true, it totally does! Great for your sleeping partner (assuming you are not in full zombie-mode and don't cath it quickly).Since some other reviews for cheap clocks like this report wild inaccuracy, I'll say: in 3 months it has lost like 10s (vs my phone, which of course is always correct). Not 100% ideal, but acceptable - adding a minute once a year or so seems ok (personally, I hate when clocks in my house are even 1m off).Only con is: button layout. Any button (besides snooze) cancels the alarm, yet the snooze button is smallish and is right in the middle of all the others. The snooze button should be right where it is (and maybe bigger), and the other buttons should be in a separate row. towards the back of the top, so you don't think you hit snooze and accidentally cancel the alarm. I'm a snooze hitter sometimes, so one star zapped for this.
