Love it
So much fun. Threw on some different drift wheels and a new body and still rips. I’ve driven it hard and it hasn’t had a single issue. For driving in a neighborhood or otherwise ordinary setting, if it was any faster it wouldn’t be drivable. For those who say it’s not fast… don’t cheap out on the battery!

Too expensive at $254 for a hobby grade?
Out of the box the Camaro is just beautiful. However, once you take the top off get ready to spend a lot more money. First I noticed that the shocks are just friction with some oil splashed on the silicone cup inside. The car droops poorly with hardly no ground clearance. So before I even got to drive the car, I was purchasing oil filled shock absorbers. Had to wait 2 days to get them but that’s better than tearing up the underside of the chassis. The body seemed brittle and thin as if one crash would shatter it. Other reviewers though state that it is pretty durable. The motor gets really hot after about 10 minutes. Over 180 degrees! I live in Las Vegas so more like 5 minutes. There are no additional instruction on the ESC as far as high temp protection, battery protection, or if it can be programmed. Oh and it’s a ESC/receiver combo (cheap). Don’t get me started in the child sized transmitter. Looks like another $40-70 bucks to replace it as well. The transmitter has no range at all compared to my other rc’s. Where I can normally go with all my other cars, this one just stops right in its tracks. No beeps or warning at all, just stops once it has lost signal, right in the middle of the street! So for me if I’d have paid $254 for this RC it would be headed back to Horizon for a refund. Reason being there are plenty of budget transmitters/receivers/ESC that are higher quality, dependable, and with great range. The shocks just really upset me that a company such as Losi or Horizon Hobby would equip this car with friction shocks! Maybe I’m expecting too much for $254?!?! I have RC cars for my grandson that cost $30 and they have better shocks than these. To be honest the Redcat ESP series RTR cars are $179 with a full size transmitter with good range, oil filled big bore shocks, and a separate receiver and ESC. So for me Losi dropped the ball on this Camaro. I got lucky a purchased it for $149.99 so that gives me the $114 to upgrade to what the car should have come with.

It's pretty but it doesn't feel high quality IMO
As a newb,I recently purchased this Camaro in black. Before I even got to run the car I ruined the body (my fault, accidentally laid side of body on some wheel I was gluing and the glue go on the plastic.) I ended up just wiping the whole body with acetone and sanded the outside, now it looks like a matte classic beater. The LED's installed look great but doesn't have clips so they easily fall off the mount and the wires start dragging. Suggest using some hot glue. The battery holder is adjustable but they don't give you a higher mount so after adjustment no way to clip it down. I used sandwich twisty ties.Everything seems plastic and there seems to be very little space to work inside.I was planning to switch motors and ESC but since this comes with a combo esc/receiver I think I will also have add a receiver and get a different transmitter. Problem is still space and how to mount. The transmitter is really crappy by comparison to other brands. When I purchased my 4TEC 3.0 Stingray I thought wow how can a company like Traxxas make such a nice RC car and then give such a trash looking transmitter. Now that I have this one for the LOSI which is way more cheaper feeling than the Traxxas. The response from transmitter to receiver seems slow. The car itself, at least the lower seems solid but everything is plastic and I was surprised to see the drive shaft was also plastic but is an option which I am waiting to arrive. The 540 motor doesn't seem to have as much pep as the 12T titan 550 in my Traxxas, though in the end that wasn't enough for me and now I have a Spektrum Brushless which has brought solid smiles to my face even after tearing up new wheels and tires on 1 fully used 3s.I have been trying to find videos on peoples brushless setup including all the mounting for all the items needed to makes this vehicle a beast. It has potential, but it's gonna cost ya.I bought it for the body, lol, got a new one on the way from Horizon to paint for my first try at painting and will use current body without fear of scratches since I already f'ed it up, lol.Videos are your friend for help.

Perfect for beginners or just to add to the collection
First off wow!!!! This thing is amazing as far as detail! The chassis is simple and well put together. Haven’t ran it yet but I bought a 2s that I know will make it run quick! Tires are super sticky and the a-arms are really think plastic which means they’ll hold up! I’ve had many on road rc cars and this one is super nice for the price tag. Only complaint I have it is doesn’t come with a battery. It’s 2021….it should at least come with a 1800-2000 mah nimh lol. I’d recommend this to a beginner or a true hobby guy/gal looking for another cool car to add to the collection!
