Metal Knife: 1. Place the knife sharpener on your countertop when using. 2. Step 1: Coarse sharpening, suit to dull knives. Place knife on the sharpening slot, using slight downward pressure, run the blade from its heel to its point through the slot. Repeat three to five times. Do not push and pull your knife back and forth. Sharpen the tools every six months or as required. Step 2: Fine honing: it's a necessary step which used to eliminate the burrs on the knife and polish it. Please refer to the step 1 regarding to the use method. It is recommended to do it approximately once a week to keep your blade sharp at any time. Ceramic Knife: 1. Place the knife sharpener on your countertop when using. 2. Ceramic slot, suit to ceramic knife. Place knife on sharpening slot, using slight downward pressure, run the blade from its heel to its point through the slot. Repeat three to five times. Attention: For the record, this sharpener can not suit for serrated knife and scissors! Do not put the sharpener into the dishwasher and keep out of the reach of children. Warm prompt: Under normal conditions, we suggest that use once a week or normal use. After grinded, please use stupe to clean it and then dry it.please use banister brush to clean up the metal blade and ceramic, keep them clean. The ceramic and metal blade may turn to black which is a normal phenomenon!
