Particular Paws Tear Stain Remover for Dogs and Cats - Lemongrass Oil, Lavender Oil & Tea Tree Oil - 8oz

I tried this because it had basically positive reviews, and my little white Havanese has a serious problem with tear staining. It did seem to slightly lighten some of the staining and made removal of the crusty stuff easy, so I'll give it two stars for that instead of just one. However, it was very foamy and difficult to wash off completely. And worst of all -- my dog hated it. From his reaction -- pulling away while having his face washed, and then racing around the house, rubbing his face on the floor repeatedly and trying to rub his face with his paws -- I assume it was very irritating to him. I finally held his little face under gently running cool water for several minutes to remove any residue and calm his skin. Fortunately that worked, and he is fine, but I will never use it again.It contains hydrogen peroxide, and an unspecified "surfactant" -- I'm guessing that these ingredients are responsible for the irritation.It might work for your dog, but be cautious -- it might not!

I groom a lot of dogs and a few cats even. Time is money and this product helps me take care of more dog's needs then I otherwise would be able to. I would say this all natural formula cuts down the time I spend on tear stains in half at least. I use this on my most difficult to groom dogs and cats and they look great. Heavy tear staining only takes a few minutes to correct. The mild and pleasant scent and easy to apply formula means I just keep a few bottles around at all times. If you want to prevent stains from occurring this is a good product to use at home as well. My clients buy some to keep on hand for keeping dogs tidy and clean in between appointments. This is worth every dime you pay for it and more.

My French Bulldog has really bad tear marks. I wipe them everyday with a wet Q-tip and a try paper towel but they still have an odor and reddish color to them. I only like to use natural products on my pet because I know Bulldogs have sensitive skin. After doing research I found this! I am so glad I did. Well worth the money, yes it is pricey.. but for such a sensitive area like around the eyes I wanted to buy the best! I drenched a Q-tip in the solution and began wiping. The amount of gunk I got off with one wipe vs having to wipe over and over with water was amazing! I did go over it a few times (always using a clean Q-tip) and I got faster and better results than with water alone. It really helped lift all the caked red gunk from the fur.

I love the smell of the product. I am still working with it and trying to see if I can tell a difference as it doesn't take the stains immediately away with the 1st application. I do think there is an improvement in appearance but I don't always get to apply the product daily as suggested. So it's more of an user issue not a product issue.

I've been using this product for about a month now and I've noticed no real difference. My dog didn't have wild crazy tear stains prior, just slight stains, and while this product smells nice and is easy to apply, I've found it makes no real difference.

I bought the product because it has natural products. Unfortunately, every time my dogs see me coming with a cotton ball they do in the opposite direction. The few times I was able to appy it, the product worked great. I will keep using it.

Just received my order of Tear Stain Remover and used it on Maggie, a blond golden retriever. So pleased with the results from just that one use! I'm very pleased with this product!!!

Used it yesterday for the first time and it eliminated almost everything from her face!!! I am looking forward to the second application. I am sure it will be great!
