Fantastic option that replaces a whole stack of dumbbells
Received my set of Nuobells after a 3 month wait. It was worth it to buy from Amazon for free shipping and the customer support of Amazon if needed. The Nuobells replace a whole set of dumbbells and the quick change makes drop sets a piece of cake.Yes there are cons to these, let’s get them out of the way. They’re expensive (need to buy 2 of them as the price is for only 1). You can’t drop them (I don’t drop my dumbbells so not a big problem). The cradle seems solid but also fragile with the plastic clip in the middle. And eventually I’ll need to buy a stand or cart for them since using them off the ground is slightly inconvenient. I’m not yet at a point of maxing them out, so I know some people are complaining that they “only” go up to 80 lbs. I might’ve been able to get away with the 50’s and saved a few bucks but figured if I’m going to spend a kings ransom for them, might as well figure proof. But there’s many pros about them. They’re super easy to increase/decrease weight. They’re shaped like dumbbells and they don’t hurt when resting them on your thighs. And they’re just super cool to look at.I sold off my hex dumbbells and replaced them with these. How they hold up over time remains to be seen, but if you don’t toss them around, I don’t see them not lasting.

Great Weights - but buy them from SMRTFT
The Nuobell 80s are the best adjustable dumbbells on the market.Just do not get them from here. You have to buy them individually from this listing, not as a pair. Fine - I ordered two individuals. One got delivered two weeks after my order, the other I came to find out was “returned due to problems in transit.” I was not notified of this. I had to check my order status.Great. I’m stuck with one dumbbell. Funny enough, there were no other brand new ones in stock. There was one available from Amazon warehouse, which was my only choice. Apparently it was “used - like new”. As you’ll see from the pictures, it was far from that. It was hazardous. Plates were busted, adjustment knob was broken.I returned all of the dumbbells and ordered them from SMRTFT. Infinitely better experience.

so far so good
just got both in and tested them out. the rotation action on the handles are great and easy to rotate, it's a little tight at the higher weights but not difficult to twist in position. out of the box the plates are wrapped in plastic so you'll have to take the plates out of the cradle and reposition them so the handle will lock in position (the handle is preloaded w/ 10 lbs and not wrapped in plastic). the plates themselves seems solid and durable but definitely don't drop the dumbbells or you'll risk damaging the mechanism locking the weights onto the handle. also, the plates aren't solidly frozen in position so you'll have some clanging noise from the plates when you lift them but the weights aren't in danger of coming off. there's only 1 way on and off the cradle so you need to make sure that the plates line up before putting it back on to the cradle (male to female). doesn't take more than a second or 2 but you need to be mindful of it. both dumbbells were solidly packed and encased in 2 thick pieces of styrofoam so the product is safe from damage. it was shipped during an intense rain storm in my state and it was in perfect condition when i opened the boxes besides the plates being damp despite 1 of the boxes almost falling apart and disintegrated from being in the storm. it did come in a nuobell box with a nuobell how to quick start card in the box so, as of now, i have no doubt that it's a legitimate product from nuobell. there's no other branding on the plates, just the nuobell name on the cradles. i'll continue to test them out and put them through the paces and will update the review if anything worth noting pops up.

Be careful out there
The media could not be loaded. First things first - the price is for a single dumbbell and dumbbell cradle.Mine came in a Nuobell box and the cradle also says Nuobell, however, the last plate is blank. If you compare that with the Nuobell site there should be the SMRTFT branding on the last plate and on the cradle. That leads me to believe these are not actually Nuobells, as another reviewer pointed out they went to great lengths to convince you otherwise. Having said that, I still love them, they are sturdy, super easy to adjust and are just what I was looking for. I am very careful when placing them back in the cradle just to be extra cautios.

Genuine, Identical to SMRTFT Nuobell
I purchased the official Nuobell from SMRTFT earlier this year but one was damaged during a move (presumably dropped to the concrete). I love my Nuobell for all the obvious reasons and needed a replacement stat. I saw this product on Amazon and was initially suspicious due to the mixed reviews. Amazon is great for Prime shipping and returns, so I thought it would be low risk to try. I didn't want to shellout the $800 for a new set. The package arrived with Nuobell branded box, instructions and as described in review. The new weight is identical in look and function to the genuine one with only 2 obvious differences, there is no SMRTFT branding on the base rack or on the weight. The end weight on the original has "SMRTFT" emblazoned in the cast metal, and as a result weigh 0.25 lbs less, a negligible amount for an 80 lb weight. See my pictures for the comparison, the authentic Nuobell from SMRTFT has that branding but this single weight on Amazon is a great, nearly identical replacement. First set of leg day felt no differences, plug and play with the original. Only downside is this new item cost about $50-100 more, but considering Prime 2 day shipping and Amazon customer service, kinda a no brainer. If this is a copy cat or unofficial product, well dang it is almost a perfect copy and I am happy. Hope this review clears things up.

Just don't drop them!
You can change weights with these quicker than you could drop one set of dumbbells and pick up another one in a commercial gym. I definetly wouldn't drop these but as long as you lift them with care they should last for many years.
