Brick Bardo (Tim Thomerson) is a traveler from outer space who is forced to land on Earth. Though regular sized on his home planet, he is doll-sized here on Earth, as are the enemy forces who have landed as well. While Brick enlists the help of an impoverished girl and her son, the bad guys enlist the help of a local gang. When word leaks out as to his location all hell breaks loose. Brick is besieged by an onslaught of curious kids, angry gang members, and his own doll-sized enemies. Now he must protect the family who has helped him get off the planet alive. Tim Thomerson, Jackie Earle Haley, Kamala Lopez, Frank Collison, Rumberto Ortiz, Nicholas Guest, Judd Omen, Frank Doubleday star.

FULL MOON CREATE'S ANOTHER COLORFUL HERO
DOLLMAN From Full Moon Video which is now on DVD with it's sequel Doll Man vs. Demonic Toys on a double Dvd purchase is pure gold as far as Charles Band's company was going back in the late 80's and 90's. Tim Thomerson who I was very lucky to meet at a film show told me many stories about the Dollman movies and even told me that he took some of the large Demonic Toys props home that Full Moon gave him to take home to his family who were young children at the time. DOLLMAN mixes science fiction with the cruel gangs of the street on this planet and pits a pint size star with a big heart against giants doing harm to young innocent people.Giants to him because he is only 6 inches high on this planet. Jackie Earle Haley plays the sinister leader of the street gang, and does a great job just being mean.Ok the special effects are not super but the miniatures play well,it's well made and a fun movie from Full Moon. Check it Out.RICHARD J. SPANBURGH

Audio/Video is nice and Full Moon really did a good crossover here
Great transfer and fun crossover from full moon. The movie set is well crafted, really selling the size of the characters. The dialogue is f'in hilarious (if you dont know how Charles Band delivers, check his other work especially the puppet master series)As for the content... its full moon pictures people.. bunch of trailers, maybe a featurette if youre lucky but youre buying it essentially for the movie. Picture quality is clear for a dvd and audio is crisp and synched up perfectly.. Highly recommended

Dollman is the best B sci-fi ever made.
Dollman is the very best of a B science fiction movie. It is so outrageous and so gnarly that it a real keeper that almost no one knows about. It is hard to find, but very worthwhile watching and owning here on amazon.

Quirky, but AWESOME "B-Movie" from the 80s!
A bunch of awful people getting what they deserve from a guy they'd never expect! Awesome 80s style fun! I don't care that it a low-production B movie, I love it!

Size Matters
Just when you think you've seen it all along comes low budget auteur Albert Pyun ('Nemesis', 'The Sword and the Sorcerer') and this early '90s direct to video vehicle. Teamed with gonzo genre producer Charles Band and his Full Moon Entertainment outfit, Pyun combines his standard urban hard man heroics with Bands' insistence on making every second movie he makes feature either a puppet or a person reduced to minuscule size... and what you got ain't alot but it sure is entertaining... in a weird, hate yourself kinda way.Brick Bardo (Tim Thomerson) is a hard as nails cop on his home planet of Arturos. Known for taking down bad guys as if he were an alien Dirty Harry, Bardo is knee deep in tracking down his nemesis Sprug (a floating head, go figure) when the canny blighter escapes, forcing our hero to take chase. Crash landing on earth - namely The Bronx - Brick is forced to take shelter with a kindly young lady called Debi (Kamala Lopez-Dawson) as he discovers our planet's gravity has somehow transformed him from a fully grown man to thirteen inches high - seriously putting a dampener on him ever getting the chance to ride a rollercoaster. As the 'story' progresses, Brick has to take on hordes of gang members as he maneuvers his way to the inevitable conclusion - but will he get back to his home planet? Will he vanquish the villainous Sprug? Will I ever stop watching terrible movies? Hey, two out of three ain't bad. This 'much better poster than a movie' is an okay diversion for 75 minutes (including credits) but if honest, never achieves its kooky promise. Director Pyun is an efficient helmer (his 'Nemesis' is certainly one to watch) but as always, he prefers to keep his movie on the more serious side of the fence and this sadly renders the goofy screenplay (by Band, David Pabian and Chris Roghair) out of sync with the final product. When you see a movie called 'Dollman' with a premise such as this, a serious actioner isn't what you have in mind. Yet Pyun carries on and even the mighty strength of lead Tim Thomerson hamming it up like a boss can't save the mediocrity on display. Its like the concept screams stupidity yet the production maintains credibility... and never the twain shall meet.Thankfully, 88 Films have done a sterling job bringing yet another Full Moon 'classic' to life with a great blu-ray transfer alongside a plethora of extra special features including: The much loved original Videozone, trailer in HD, Charles Band and Tim Thomerson 2013 plus the usual reversible sleeve, etc. All in all, this is another example of 'what could have been' but somewhere down the line somebody forgot to add their funny bone into the proceedings and all that is left is a very silly movie played weirdly straight. I can't totally rag on it due to the concept and Thomerson's pitch perfect performance, but something, somewhere is lacking. Shame. 1 for the movie, 4 for the 88 Films release.

Doesn't play
I love this film so imagine my disappointment when the disc wouldn't even load the menu. I was even more disappointed when the replacement did the same. The only reason this gets one star is because I can't give it none.

dollman blue ray
A bit like trancers and Dirty Harry .a good film even though I have read bad reviews I thought it was pretty good .the picture for blueray was not bad considering the age of the film.plus it was done on a budget.if you like trancers you will like this.

Fun in Doll-size!
Let's face it.This one is a cheapy. But a good one.It came from a time wherefilmmaker Charles Band good cheapy's for the audience did.The Actors are great and the story about a Dirty Harry-Cop in a size of aMattel-toy are really funny.
