Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  It changed our climbing game dont care if people say we are lazy well it was fun using it safe extends 12 feet although the longer it gets it gets wobbly..tried all 3 ways of using it in the crag..clipping a draw..retrieving a draw and lasso type of putting rope through the draw in case you forgot to put rope on the first draw which we did lol...used it once will use again for future climbs....

The telescoping pole broke after hanging about a dozen draws over the course of 4 days. When pulling the extension out, the catch the keeps it from pulling apart completely broke and the pole... came apart completely. The small plastic piece was found to be shattered as we poured the pieces out of the bottom of the pole. This catch should have been made out of metal instead of brittle plastic and it makes sense this broke. Amazon is sending a new Beta Stick but I'm concerned this thing just contains brittle materials prone to breaking.

Getting your quick draw back down using this device is worse than delivering a baby. It is a horrible product. The only thing good about it is being able to install a quick draw. If you do not attach your rope to the Quick Draw first, then when you try to put the rope and the bottom carabiner after the Quick Draw has been installed on the wall, it's nearly impossible without 10 years practice. I am going to have to modify this whole product to a better design. It is not worth the money and the aggravation. Or the expense of having to leave gear behind.

After countless times using a found stick and tape to stick clip with many failed attempts I decided to invest in this contraption. Now when I go to the crag I am more excited to stick clip than to do the actual climbing. The standard version is a must so you can clip the second bolt without shame. Climbing shouldn't be about how sketch we can make it. Climbing is about safety. If I wanted to deck I would just go bouldering where at least I have pads.

This is a great clip stick / stick clip. It’s extendable / collapsible for travel / storage. The only comment I’d make is when fully extended it is pretty wobbly, but that’s to be anticipated.

Fantastic product. Makes it easier to climb. You can extend it to various lengths in increments. Use it to put a treat on the rocks along your climbing route every meter, and eat them on the way as little rewards.
