Happy tablet fir happy kids
Bought this for my 4 year old so she will leave mine alone. I found mine on sale for $35 which was a great deal. This is not a super high end tablet but its for m h daughter who will only be playing gamed, watching shows, or taking pictures so its good enough for her. There is a rear and front facing camera that she can ot grt enough of because she recently figured out how to take selfies!RThe case is rubber and thick so if she drops it it definitely softens the blow. I did get a screen cover for it as it does not have one and i want to keep it as long as possible. For the price and my intended use I am happy I got this tablet and will be getting another one for my son.

**UPDATED** Was Hesitant at First, But Then...
I was hesitant to buy these due to the reviews. However, I am glad I took the chance and I'm pleasantly surprised. I feel the battery life lasts quite a while longer than their reviews indicate. It has lasted at least an hour. We purchased two of these.. one for a four year old and one for a seven year old. Both can operate them with ease. We didn't care for the games that came in the "Kid Zone" so we downloaded different apps such as Angry Birds. The kids love it. I also enjoy the parent mode so you can customize what the kids can and cannot access. The gel case is nice because it bills it up a bit and allows the kids to hold it easier. The only thing I didn't like was how long it took it to charge up when we first opened them. It took a good two hours to get to 100%, but now they charge quickly just like any normal device. Great buy, I would recommend for kids ages 4+.UPDATED..Well it's been 2.5 months and one of the two is already dead. Won't charge, won't turn on. It was not dropped, thrown, etc. It just stopped working. I am very frustrated and have a very upset seven year old. Don't waste your money!!!

It's cheap for a reason
I bought 2 for my kids to play simple toddler games like "bubble pop". Unfortunately, even this simple game cannot run well. It hangs and I have to keep restarting the app. I have tried many apps, it's not an app issue. Eventually I have to reboot. The girls are able to play for about and hour, maybe an hour and a half before the battery dies. I also had to install a different "kid mode" app as the one that came with it was not keeping my kids from being able to get around it. Overall, I wish I would have coughed up the extra $10 for the Fire or something a bit better. End game, it's cheap for a reason. I got what I paid for so I really can't be mad. But felt it appropriate to post if only to help people remember to manage their expectations from this price point.

Astonished that a tablet this poor is even on the market
I'm kind of astonished that a product this shoddy could still be sold in today's tech environment. I've been a computer user since 1984 and, while no means a professional, am fairly computer savvy. Also, I kind of like trouble-shooting. Nevertheless, after I sank something close to 3 days trying to get the device programmed for my daughter to play with, I still couldn't get the damn thing to reliably perform a single function during the plane flight for which we bought it (or any other time, frankly). The kids' program crashed continuously and/or functioned in slow motion, placing it completely beyond the attention of a small child. I loaded several aps, but none of them worked reliably if we were not directly connected to the internet. Often I could not get the touch screen to respond. These were mild nuisances, however, compared the odyssey that presented when I tried to load the device with any video content at all. I had hoped to upload some cartoons, some sesame street episodes, and maybe a children's movie. I found it impossible to upload and play anything from Amazon, itunes, or even my hard drive without first installing a raft of aps -- none of which worked with any constancy. I purchased an SD micro card but as soon as I loaded video content onto it the android stopped reading it. I purchased another and the same thing happened. (also, it was impossible to load any content on the card from the android itself. my best hope was to load it from my desktop and play it on the android) All of these experiences were punctuated by several hours on the internet and youtube reading the advice and work-arounds provided by other users. Around this time the device stopped recognizing its own charger, without which the battery life was something close to two hours. Unable to even charge the thing, I gave up and returned it. I received the refund, but what I would really like back is the 3 wasted days I sank into messing with this lemon.ps. The resolution on the camera was so bad that even still life items like apples or flowers came out as colorful blurs.
