Handy HDMI splitter
This Portta HDMI splitter is quite handy. It allows you to take a single HDMI input (such a computer, BluRay player, or cable box) and split the single out to two different monitors or televisions. I am using it to play BluRay player in two different rooms. I ran a long HDMI cable to the other room and now I can watch the BluRay player in either room! This box will support 4K TV signals as well as 1080P signals. It supports the HDMI 2.0 standard, High Dynamic Range (HDR), and Dolby Vision 3D. You do have to be careful with HDMI splitters (and cables) as not all support the higher capacity signals like this one days. For the price, this is a great deal.

Requires 5VDC at 1A max, but works perfectly with 4k
I'm using this to duplicate video into a Raspberry Pi running Hyperion NG. I needed to make sure HDCP would be supported by the splitter so that I could run 4K blu-rays through it (and various streaming services) without it choking. For this purpose it worked wonderfully. The TV (which runs through a Denon AVR) was able to show the video without issues, and Hyperion successfully got the same video. Of course I downscaled the video for my old Pi and Hyperion actually doesn't need anywhere near full resolution so this was perfect. My only issue (and thus the loss of 1 star) was that the splitter can draw up to 1A off the USB port. This means that it cannot be run from a standard USB port (0.5A for USB 2.0 and 0.9A for USB 3.0). I'd really hoped to run this from the USB on the Pi, but I'll just have to get a dual port USB power supply. Not a big issue, but sort of an annoyance.

SPLITTER FOR DUAL-MONITORING ONE SOURCE
I'm not going to review this badly, but it wasn't what I thought it was. This is a one in and two out splitter. I was looking for the exact opposite. I'm sure this works fine, but make sure you know what you're getting. I figured a splitter was a splitter, but this is SPECIFICALLY for projecting ONE source onto TWO monitors. Everything looks like it came up perfectly and was easily instituted, it just wasn't what I was looking for.
