2012 release. Singer/songwriter Ty Segall meets White Fence on the golden road to unlimited devotion! Known for Rock 'n' Roll, both savage and incisive and pastorally acid-winged, Ty Segall & White Fence have collaborated on a set of songs that accelerate wildly from where we last found them. "Hair" squares their guitar-fringed traffic with purple flashes, escalating every song before multiple explosions rock the frame during their penultimate joust, with Sean Presley and Mikal Cronin along for the frantic carpet ride.

Fantastic album, really wish these guys would collaborate again
I'm a fan of both these guys, so picking up this collab was a no brainer. Drifting between a hazy vintage 60s psychedelic sound and thrashing garage punk, this album delivers on all fronts and highlights what each of these guys do so well. The guitar playing is great by both, and repeat listens will reward you.A previous reviewer said this is out of the realm of what either artist would record on their own, but I disagree. He lumped Presley in with Strange Boys, when that's the band he's probably been least involved in. He (now) has 6 studio albums under his belt as White Fence, and all sound like his work on this record. And if you think White Fence sounds too soft on those albums, try the Live in San Francisco record. He throws kerosene all over his studio work and burns through an incendiary set. Check it out, it stomps.I would have perhaps agreed about Ty Segall back in 2012, but since then he has recorded several albums and EPs that foray closer to this territory, namely Sleeper, parts of Manipulator and Mr Face. He's always trying new things so I think just about anything is in his wheelhouse at this point. Manipulator is a great album, and a potential first step in escaping from the trappings of monotonous garage rock into a more refined future.Point is, I think both these guys are doing some really interesting things in rock right now, so they can feel free to collaborate again anytime.

A really good album that flows really well
A really good album that flows really well. Maybe one of the eight songs is a little overboard, but all in all lots of fun to listen to.
