This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!!! A BRIGHT light, with a high color temperature for my basement stairway. They put out a lot of light, I'd say 50% more than the rated 300 lumens. Or at least, it sure seems that way.I also like that it uses four "D" cells. I didn't trace the circuit, but I'd wager that since bright white LED's typically have a forward voltage of 2.9 volts, they are running them in series-parallel. What that means is that the batteries ought to last one hell of a long time!This is the kind of product that even Chinese mass production can't really screw up. If they work when you first install them, you're probably good as gold with this one. The plastic shell assembly is pretty well designed, and installation is a breeze. They supply drywall anchors, but the unit is pretty light, so simply affixing them to a closet ceiling with four drywall screws should be acceptable.I'll definitely reorder these if I have another need.

This light is great to illuminate my dark shower (could be a bit brighter) but after a few months the remote stopped working. I tried changing the batteries but it didn’t work either. And now I have no way of turning the light on.

Mounted on a 12 foot high ceiling in outdoor metal shed. Light comes on when motion is detected. I like the 4D sized batteries, as I will not need to climb up there to change them often. The system only works in motion control mode, and there is no adjustment for time delay when light goes off. As long as that is what you need I recommend this product.

The light in my closet went out and till I got someone to come and fix it, I ordered this light. It runs on four double D batteries and a motion activated. I was amazed at how much light it gave off plus when I kept the door open to my closet where I put it. It actually came on when it was just laying on top of a coffee maker. if you need a closet light, I would definitely recommend this one. It is great.

I've had the same or similar in another house I installed. I like to install them over bathroom doors so that you see more easily if you have a power outage without toting a flashlight around. The brand I bought before is no longer available. This product gets probably an 'A' rating on ease of installation, and response to motion, but an 'D' on illumination. It rather dim in brightness. Not to say it's not passable, but I will look further for my other two bathrooms.

This is the third light I’ve tried in a walk-in closet . The front twists off from the back so you can easily screw-mount the back in place. I put it on the ceiling towards the back. As soon as I walk in it comes on. Works well. It’s heavy because of the batteries but that doesn’t cause any problems. The batteries would not be hard to replace because you just twist the light off the base.

I got this for my mom’s hallway closet. There was no practical way to run wire for a light and so we chose this. It’s perfect and the LED is bright enough to illuminate its contents.
