WARNING . . . Long Review (UPDATE!!! 18 Months Later)
Worth every penny--so far. Okay, I was like you when I saw the price of this item. I mean $15.00 for a shower cap?!?!?!? You would think that--at this price--the vendor would provide side- and back-views of the product. For the record, the cap has a clean band around the front and sides. It is elasticized at the back near the hairline. The cap is not of the droopy variety. It really does fit like a very neat turban. The turban has plenty of room, but if you wear rollers in your hair, you will want to remove them first. The fabric is waterproof--not that crunchy plastic that we are so used to. Onto my story: I don't wash my hair everyday so I wear a shower cap on non-shampoo days. You would not believe the number of different shower cap iterations that I have concocted to keep my hair (especially the back) dry!! I have tried (1) swimming caps, (2, 3, 4, 5) at least four other types of shower caps, (6) two conditioning caps {(i) held in place by the rubber exercise stretch bands and (ii) covered by a regular shower cap}--this usually worked, but left a terrible imprint on my forehead that lasted for hours, (7) a headband around my hairline plus a shower cap, and so forth. You get the picture, right? Further, I tried altering my showering habits. For example, I tried (1) not allowing the water from the shower to hit the back of my neck, (2) rinsing the back of neck by squeezing water from my washcloth, (3) cupping my hand to capture water that I would hand-apply to my neck and face, and (4) being careful not to allow the shower spray to hit the front of my face for fear that the front of my hair would get wet. Well, so far, so good. I've had the cap for nearly one week and I can report dry hair. I really like that the front of the shower cap is off of my face (see vendor's photo), which makes it easier to wash my face in the shower. Also, the shower cap is elasticized, but tapered in back so that the cap doesn't droop down onto my neck. You know the feeling--like having a giant, suffocating mushroom that takes over your head!! One last comment, I will admit that I haven't given up my habit of wearing a conditioning cap under my shower cap. After so many years of being let down, I'm not quite ready for that yet. Good news is that I am only using one conditioning cap. Learning to fully trust my new $15.00 shower cap may require a little therapy :-). Things are looking brighter.UPDATE: I still love this shower cap. I actually own two--one for home AND one for my travel bag. I have owned this cap for 1-1/2 years. It still looks new; it works just as well as it did Day One. For me, this cap is the perfect size. I have shoulder-length hair that I wrap at night. This cap fits beautifully--with plenty of breathing room. My hair never gets wet nor does it become humid while showering, which is really the point. I still highly recommend, and continue to give a 5-star rating.

DO NOT ORDER: NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN
This shower cap is way too small for an adult head. Please be aware that it is also not possible to return this item, and that it is flimsy and unattractive. I feel deceived and wasted money due to the inaccurate description of the item (marketed to adults). Buyer beware.

Cannot return item. Do not waste your money!
Do not buy this product. I read different reviews about it being too tight but others say it was perfect. I thought it was worth a try. It was so tight when I put on I couldn’t even put my hair in it. I have short fine hair. I tried again and the elastic broke and now it is huge and can’t be used. Do not waste your money.

Not all heads
I'm not sure how something with enough elastic to accommodate my head can still be uncomfortable, but this manages it. The front of the cap is stitched flat to prevent skin marks from elastic, and the back has enough stretch to get it onto my head and hair. But the elastic is stiff, which presses the front onto my forehead and temples - giving me a whopper of a headache. If you have a smaller head, this might work great for you.

This is now my favorite shower cap
This is the first shower cap that kept water out of my hair while I am in the shower. I always wash my face first using a hair band to keep water off my hair line so I am not sticking my face under the shower. I do not stand with my head under the shower for the most part. The only place where water enters is the small elasticized area in the back. However, if it did not have the small elasticized area no one would be able to put this on their head. Now I am careful not to lean forward and let the water shower on my neck while I wash my feet etc. I wash my neck with my hand and rinse it with my wash cloth or very carefully without getting water on the back of the shower cap. That seems to work. If they could figure out a way to take the back elastic out and perhaps fasten it with a button in the front of the turban, that might work. I have a small head with an average amount of hair. My hair style comes just below my ears so it is not long. This cap fits my small head perfectly. It advertises itself as fitting over a large head and lots of hair. However, I doubt this would fit over a large head or very long hair. There are some jumbo fully elasticized ones that would. This cap is for a small head without long hair. This is now my favorite shower cap, and I have just ordered another one for travel.

Perfect for people with smaller heads
I was nervous about purchasing this shower cap, but I’m glad I did. It’s just right for me. I generally wear a size small/medium women’s hat. (My head circumference is 21.75”.) I have long fine hair, and it all fits in the shower cap. It keeps the water out effectively, but it does leave a red line on my forehead for a few minutes after I shower. The tightness of the cap helps keep the water out, but I can see where people with larger heads and/or thicker hair might have trouble. I’ve had this cap for over a year, and it’s still working great. No mold/mildew.

Best for smallish heads!
Although this cap is cute and works for me, I have to warn those with bigger heads or (very) long hair, because it may be too small or tight for them. I have a small-ish head and shoulder length hair... and the cap is snug on me. It works, for the 10 minutes I’m in the shower or washing my face... but would probably become bothersome for longer.

Way too small for any adult human head, etc.
I have many Betty Dain shower caps, all perfect for my very long hair; however, these are nothing like the ones I've purchased in the past, not even close. This might fit a small child, not an average woman. But wait! It gets worse: it protects your hair from getting wet but only l/2 way around! The worst product I've ever purchased on Amazon.

Cute and comfortable
I've been using your basic dollar store shower caps, but my last one got mouldy so I thought I'd scale up. The outside fabric is nice and doesn't seem to hold water at all, while the inside is soft. The front is flat so it goes against your forehead and then the elastic is tight around the back of your head. I suspect if you have a *lot* of hair it won't be big enough, but for most people it's great. And definitely a bit cuter than all the other options I've seen.

Not as roomy as it looks
product works fine - keeps water out. not as roomy as it looked my hair fits comfortably but if it was longer or thicker not so sure. I expected something that looked more durable, but perhaps its stronger than it looks, time will tell. I hope it lasts long for the cost of it. ???

Didn't fit "Thick and Long hair"
Very small cap that didn't hold all of my hair, made a lot of noise under the water when showering which is a large pet-peeve of mine

Super Cute
Super cute and mostly comfy. A change from the boring shower caps. A must have for curly hair.

Great fabric
The fabric in this shower cap is perfect. I have very long hair and it took a few days to get used to putting it on. It keeps my hair dry and it dries very quickly.
