This is a brilliantly written book about a brilliant designer. Dianne Saeks is one of thee very best writers about the decorative arts. The photographs, taken by the designer herself, are breathtaking. Her style is very much her own, with comfort and faded beauty, and patina and meaning.I have been a decorator for 50 years, and this is one of the best books I have ever seen published.

This a stunning book for any collector of interior design. Very beautifully written with descriptive detail of the Stamps’ interior and architectural accomplishments. To be read slowly and absorbed with awe. Photography captures every detail of the homes presented. A total 5 Star production. You will love every page.

The interior design in the book has a very English feel to it, despite being in California, which makes sense based on the professional reviews and the designers area of work . Much of the furnishings are old and well worn, and also a bit too cluttered for my taste. I thought of my grandmother while reading it, although her home had been more modern and streamlined for the era. I would prefer a little more of the contemporary mixed in with all the antiques, and a fresher look.

Stamps and Stamps também não são fáceis de entender, daí o desafio. Maravilhoso para aqueles que querem ousar.

Loving this book! It is very much to my taste, with eclectic homes which are interesting but not weird or too out there. If you like international influences in your interiors, you will surely enjoy this book. Many different homes designed by the Stamps and Stamps team are featured, each a treasure trove. Not for minimalist tastes, but rather for those who love travel and collecting, or wish to travel and collect. For those folks, it's a great inspiration book. It arrived wrapped in it's protective sleeve and a sturdy box, within 2 days. I'm delighted all around and will treasure this coffee-table book.
