I’m hours away from the nearest qualified dressage instructor and the Pivo has been a complete lifesaver for me! After years of hearing about it, I finally caved and got one last Spring so that I could do virtual lessons with my trainer without needing someone to hold my phone. I couldn’t be more glad that I did! It’s easy to figure out and tracks me quite well. To be fair I most frequently ride alone but if there are other horses in the arena I’ve had good luck staying to one end of the arena with my Pivo so that even if it did catch another horse I’m still in view.

Works great! Very happy with this purchase. Easy to operate.

I liked this product, HOWEVER - there is one thing about it that annoys me. It will randomly stop recording if you apparently don't have enough space. The reason this bothers me, is because my phone itself has plenty of space. So I haven't really figured out what "space" pivo is wanting. The only other thing that gets a little frustrating is that it will lock on ANYTHING that moves. So while I'm riding my horse, it may lock on a car going by or the cows that I'm working and will stop recording me. Other than that, product works just fine.

Very durable easy to use. It has made my life easier when marketing animals. I was surprised at how it was able to keep up with the speed of the animal.

I wanted this so bad so my son could FaceTime his aunts n uncle like i have to do everyday but I never got anything done bc I had to hold the phone all the time so when I got this it was pretty cool but it bothered me I couldn’t figure out how to use it on a FaceTime for the longest time….. I got it for my birthday in March and only just now found that’s there is more than one app for the Pivo and the FaceTime is a pretty lengthy process you have to send a link to the person first and wait for them to get that then hope they join the call……it’s very disappointing I still can’t get my calls to go through completely the first time it keeps sending the link but not connecting me with the person…….so needless to say I’m pretty annoyed what a waste now it just sits there Bc the return window closed at 30 days unlike everything else on Amazon where u have more time to return it……I have an infant n I don’t have time to mess around with it constantly to try n figure it out….I’m very tech savvy and this whole setup is frustrating n time consuming EACH TIME u want to use this feature plus having to use different pivo apps for different features why couldn’t they just put everything all together n convenient …. Oh n not to mention u can’t swipe up when your phone is mounted on it Bc the bottom keeps you from being able to touch the part of the iPhone that closes apps, calls or switching to different apps….or calling anyone even without FaceTime bc everything is at the bottom of the phone n those 2 front bottom nubs are in the way of everythingSo just wanted vent Bc I’m annoyed my sister spent so much money on this….it def doesnt live up to what I thought it would be

The media could not be loaded. I've been taking a lot of online dance classes during the COVID shutdown and posting videos to my Instagram stories. The problem was I would have to film over and over because more frequently than not I would move out of frame. I got the Pivo Pod Silver in hopes it would do as advertised, follow me as I moved around and keep me in frame. I chose the Silver because it can move at a higher speed than the regular Pod, and I thought I would need that for my turns and movements across the floor.The Pivo Pod SIlver was really easy to set up - just download the app and connect to your phone via bluetooth and you're ready to go. It has four tracking speeds: Slow, Normal, Fast and Frenzy. After playing around a bit I chose Fast and filmed a quick dance video, exported to my iPhone photo gallery, and uploaded to my Instagram stories easily. I got a ton of comments from people about how cool the camerawork was in my video.You can also use Pivo Silver to track you during a video call. For that there's a separate app to download called Pivo Meet. Pivo Meet gives you a link to send to people to join the call. They do not have to have the Pivo Meet app. Once they join it works just like a regular Facetime or other video call, except you can now move around the room freely and Pivo will follow you as you talk. It worked great with a single caller, but crashed when I tried with multiple callers. In any case that's not the primary reason I got the Pivo so I'm not too worried about it.In all I'm super happy with the Pivo Pod Silver. So far it does exactly what I got it for, which is tracking me when I shoot a dance video and keeping me in frame. It really is like having a virtual cameraman. I haven't tried it for my art time lapse videos where I frequently have to deal with moving across the page with my paint brush, so I'm hoping it will be able to help me with that. There are a ton of other fun features that I haven't tried yet, such as Multi-stream, Magic Edge and Many Me. I may try those further on down the line. It's a great little product that I think I'll be using a lot.

I was using the Pivo silver for remote equestrian riding lessons. I have used a Pivo for years with an iPhone 11 Pro and had no issues. After checking the Pivo website for compatibility, I upgraded my iPhone to an iPhone 16 Pro. I have found that the phone drifts out of focus when in "Lesson" mode. The focus will reset again when riding slowly close to the camera, but as soon as I ride further away from the camera, particularly in canter, it loses focus. I've stopped using the Pivo and had to resort to FaceTime with my instructor. Pivo Support has been working this, and today I received and email stating that it was an Apple software issue on the iPhone 16 and that Apple would have to release a software update to address it. Pivo has not yet confirmed that they've actually communicated the issue to Apple or that Apple agrees that it is their issue, so who knows if/when this will be fixed. Pivo continues to list the iPhone 16 as compatible on their website. My daughter uses an iPhone 14 Pro Max without any issues.
