Gave Our Blind Dog Back His Independence
We have a 16 year old Mini Doberman Pinscher. His eyesight had been deteriorating (milky eye) but he finally lost all his eyesight. He is very independent and loves to pace back and forth across the house. He kept walking into walls, doors, the other 2 dogs and us. We were looking for a halo halter online. Many of the others cost alot more. We didn't want to spend that much, not knowing how it would go. Would he like it or would he just stand there and freeze with it on? Well, it turns out he LOVES it! He does get himself into corners and refuses to back out of them, but if he turns just a little, the halo kinda "boings" back to the front-center position and then he can walk again. We let him walk and walk and when he finally sits down to take a snooze, we remove it. The buckles are very easy to open and close. We keep the one for the neck closed and just slip it over his head. The only thing it is not good for is walking around the back yard when there are piles of snow. He sniffs the ground and the halo bumps into the snow. Other than that, it is perfect for little Max and we are so happy we found this halo halter!

The bumper really helps!
Great invention! The product came nicely packaged and was easy to attach to the dog. Sam is about 15 pounds and he’s a maltipoo. He is deaf and going blind - bumping into walls, furniture and people so this protects fairly well from everything. He adjusted quickly to the harness which isn’t too bulky. He caught on quickly that as soon as the bumper hit the wall he knew he was too close. The item itself doesn’t seem very strong so you just need to be gentle with it. Although this product isn’t perfect, I’m super grateful that there is something created that can help.A weird thing happened though after I got his haircut, he could see again fairly clearly and now doesn’t need to use this ! LOL

Product does what it’s suppose to. Might need adjustments based on the size of your dog.
It fit my dog well and she didn’t seem to be uncomfortable in it. The part that protrudes out the front to help avoid bumping into things seemed to be a bit long for our dog. She’s a chunk but she’s a shi tzu mix and although the part that fastens around her body fit great, we had to shorten the “halo” part that goes around the front of her head. It was an easy fix and I’d buy this again if I needed to.

Not strong enough
It may work for some dogs but it didn't work for my Jack Russell. The tube was a little too flexible and when she bumped into things it would just bend which didn't deter her enough

Halo is way too flimsy!!
The “halo” plastic ring was too flimsy- it needs to be rigid to alert the dog of an obstacle. I got a metal rod from a lawn sign and shaped it into a halo. Once that was done, I slid the blue cushion over the rod and we are good to go! The mesh vest is breathable and seems comfortable. Not sure how durable it is because I only got it two days ago, but we will see!

The bar on the front just needs to be hard
The product was good but the wire that goes in front of the dog's face bends and it needs to be hard so the dog doesn't hit things and this doesn't help

Nice for what you pay for
The halo itself is a bit too big in my opinion and is not hard enough of a material where it won’t bent when my dog hits something .

Does not help at all
Fit my dog perfectly according to the diagram but did not work. The rod is too flexible and does nothing to stop her from hitting her head. It also gets stuck under her legs and trips her. She cannot jump up on the couch or in her bed without tripping on it and she cannot go up steps with it on. Will be returning.
