Nearly waterproof and windproof, and cheap. I know from experience that they are tough. Add in the cheap price, and you can't beat them.

elastic wrist bands are too tight
The elastic wrist bands are too tight. I think they will be too restrictive for use in very cold weather. They are snug even without wool liners. My hands normally fit size large mittens and gloves, and these are listed as XL. Aside from the elastic, the fit seems about right.

Good addition to my motorcycle attire.
I was looking for an over mitt for wind and rain while on my motorcycles. These allow a lighter weight gloves but staying more comfortable in foul weather conditions. These fit well over light gloves and the gauntlet fits over the sleeve of my leathers.

Very unhappy with purchase
Expected material to be softer. Very thick and stiff material makes it difficult to wear over gloves. Stitching along the thumb area was very visible. Shipper approved item return, however, it would cost more to return it than the item is worth. If you are looking for a thin water proof mitten that slips over your gloves and allows you comfortable movement of your hands, this is not the right item for you.

Fit snugly over a pair of thick insulated gloves, not too tight. The cuff is a little too small but it keeps the snow out. I got these to use for brushing snow off cars and shoveling the sidewalk. They keep my gloves dry and are cheap. Not sure if they have much insulating value but a pair of fleece mitts are cheap.

That's the stuff you're looking for!
They are was I was looking for, shell mitts or over mitts to add an extra layer of warmth and waterproofingI tested them while snowblowing and chopping wood by -5F / -20C. with a wind chill of -20F. / -28C. and my hands were warm and cozy. (Undergloves, Mitts, Shell Mittens)Whether holding an axe, a roof rake or the handle of snowblower, thermal conductivity will suck up the heat right out of your hands. Those mitts allows you excellent extra protection. Some may think that the wrist band is too tight, but it will greatly expand, and this will protect you against snow getting in, they make a tight fit.The XL size is good, but I wish I had the choice of an XXL.If it was available in XXL, I'll be ordering 3 pairs a week and giving it a 6 stars rating. The 5 star rating includes the price, closest competition is at least double. Please keep in mind that the title says "Rain Mittens" and not "Over Gloves or Shell Mittens" and they are not made to climb Mt Everest with.If you are looking for pro-grade winter shell mittens, you can expect to shell out (no pun intended) about $60

"warm Water resistant" rain mitts
It's in the name but you need to pay VERY close attention to the detail "warm water resistant" rain mitts. These are thin and would only be good for repelling WARM Water. When I bought them I thought they had some sort of liner or could be used as a liner in heavy gloves...probably won't use them as much as I planned.

Inexpensive, highly water resistant gloves at a low price.
These are a good buy. They are quite water resistant. I turned them inside out which was a challenge as they are stiff, and applied seam sealer. After that I haven't had ANY water get in the gloves. I use them hiking and their long sleeve allows me to put them over my forearm quite far lessening rain coming in. They are also very light. On the downside the vinyl outside is quite stiff. If they were more supple I would put them under my jacket sleeve but they won't work that way. Overall I'm happy using these when hiking or walking the dogs in the rain.
