It has to be said. Edison didn't invent the light bulb. Lewis Latimer didn't invent the light bulb either, don't let woke types tell you this lie. Joseph Swann invented the light bulb, it's a British invention, an English invention.The bulbs here, all were okay, boxed neatly and easy to install. The currently work well and that's the least you'd expect really, if you buy something it's supposed to work.

It appears that most modern day light fitments are now screw in and, because of this, we've had to adapt and embrace (reluctantly I might add) to using these energy bulbs which offer lower wattage! My family and I agree that the light they emit is not as bright nor as powerful. Is there any way that manufacturers can give us consumers like-for-like wattage in old money - e.g. 60w for 60w - as the reduced 50w energy bulb is really not cutting it! Is it a ploy to eventually make us all contact or spectacle wearers? But for all that, a nice looking and well designed lightbulb.

Exce6for the price when you consider these are £8 each in Waitrose.They are really good in the fact that they dont blind me every time I walk into my kitchen., but still give off enough light.

Bright is not the word for it.... I had put them in my kitchen and my kitchen is a clean room or so I thought until I turned these bad boys on oh my I could see more with them on then with sun light so yer I would say they are bright and good value for money if you don't mind seeing all in a room but if you don't what to see everything in a room or you think your room is clean don't get you them but if your like me and like having a good clean house and what to see every bit of dust get them...when the light bulbs in the other rooms of my house go I will be replacing them with these

Bought for new light fittings in a conservatory. They are bright and do the job. Not sure about energy efficiency as I cannot measure that.
